Target Audience The conference will provide interventional, imaging, and clinical cardiologists, internists, technicians, radiology technicians, sonographers, physician assistants, cardiac nursing personnel, and cardiology fellows with a better understanding of the technical advances, clinical applications, appropriateness and limitations of cardiovascular CT, MRI and Echo imaging along with the diagnosis and planning of existing and novel interventional and surgical therapies. CME Accreditation and Credit Designation Beaumont Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Beaumont Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Non-physician professionals should check with their individual credentialing bodies to confirm that participation in this CME activity will be approved for credit. The 8th Annual Advances in Cardiovascular Imaging and Interventions conference is a comprehensive review of a wide myriad of cardiovascular diseases. This conference is a platform for imaging and interventional cardiologists who are involved in the care of patients with structural, ischemic and cardiomyopathy heart disease. Sessions presented by local and national experts will review novel applications and advances in 2D and 3D echo, CT and MRI, surgical and interventional therapies for patients with various heart pathologies. The conference will also focus on emerging technologies and how these technologies can be used to improve patient care in an ever changing health care world. Objectives As a result of attending this conference, participants should be able to: Discuss dilemmas in the diagnosis of valve disease Review updates on PFO and venous insufficiency Describe advances in structural heart disease Identify advances in cardiovascular surgery Discuss 3D and multimodality imaging Hands-on Learning Sessions Attendees will have the opportunity to gain hands-on training during three sessions. These sessions will combine presentations by a clinical or technical expert on a specific topic with a tutorial that leads you through procedures with a particular device, piece of equipment or workstation.
