The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the IQAC The Name of the Institution :- Year of Report- 2009-10 Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal s Arts,Science and Commerce College,Chopda.Dist - Jalgaon(Maharashtra). Pin-425107. Part A The Plan of action chalked out by IQAC in the beginning of the year towards quality enhancement and what is the outcome by the end of the year? At the beginning of the academic year 2009-10 the IQAC planned to do following things: 1) To start M.Sc. Biotechnology. 2) To start B.Sc. MLT (YCMOU). 3) To plan about arranging the trekking camp. 4) To plan about arranging online Quiz Contest (University/State Level) by computer department. 5) To plan about arranging Poster Presentation by Microbiology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics and Physics departments. 6) To construct new class rooms as per the necessities. 7) To recruit staff according to requirements and sanctioned by the Government. 8) To plan about supply of Internet connection to different departments. 9) To plan about arranging National Conference on National Knowledge Commission to higher Education - Positive Changes.

10) To plan about arranging State Level Conference by Gandhi, Nehru and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Study and Research Center of college. 11) To purchase books for Library according to requirements. 12) To hold Annual Prize Distribution ceremony for the collegiate level. 13) To hold Blood Donation camp at college level. The outcome by the end of the the year: We realized the effect of planning at the beginning of the academic year. The outcomes are presented in Part B of the report systematically. Part B 1. Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the Institution: a. Started Bachelor course in Business Administration and M.Sc. in Microbiology. b. Enrichment of NSS & NCC activities is looked after. c. AIDS awareness programme was held. d. Participated in pulse-polio activity of Maharashtra State. e. Organized blood donation camp. f. Volunteers worked actively during the Ganesh festival. g. Organized the placement camp in association with chemistry department for final year students. h. Science quiz contest and seminar contest for science students were managed by science association. i. Organized Debating Competition with a view to promote the interest of student to take part in various competitions arranged at different colleges. j. Different projects are prepared under environmental science.

k. Free and open internet access for students as well as teachers is made available 24 hours. l. Campus beautification, water harvesting, water and land management is done with the help of NSS students. m. Organized various sports competition in our college to motivate the students. n. Based on the feedback of the students, suggestions were given to the teachers through HOD and the Principal of College. 23. New laboratory for Computer Science is erected. 2. Renovation of Microbiology and Biotechnology lab is done. 3. Garden development is much nursed. 4. Improved Smt. Anusayabai Salunkhe Auditorium. 5. Drinking water facility kept more refined for students and staff. 26. Technology upgradation: The College has geared up the LCD Projector, office computerization and expansion of intercom system for fast and accurate work. 27. The strength is constantly increasing. To meet the seating demands of the students, the college shall build multi storyed building for the students.

p. Biometrics/Thumb Impression machine is the need of time. The college will run the biometrics facility for both, the teaching and the non-teaching staff. q. Homogencity is beauty; it is discipline. In order to keep discipline and beauty, the college will implement the dress code system for the students and teachers (It is for both the teaching and non teaching staff) r. The gymnasium has kept open a facility for townsfolk (Ladies and gents) with a specially formatted application form. These ladies and gents regularly exercise in the gym. (Dr. S. K.
