ETHEL HARTMAN SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship Regulations Graduate Stipulations for applying for the Ethel Hartman Scholarship 1. The applicant must be an active member for at least one year of the New Brunswick Church of Christ, or a past member of New Brunswick Church of Christ who is presently actively involved in a Church of Christ elsewhere. 2. The applicant must be one who is currently or has been involved in active ministry in a Christian Church/Church of Christ, a missionary of same, or a candidate for a church-related vocation or one who is currently pursuing such a course. 3. The applicant must be attending or plan to attend an approved Christian Church/Church of Christ College or Seminary. 4. The applicant must hold a B.A. or B.S. degree and be accepted for graduate study at a approved College or Seminary. Procedure for applying for an Ethel Hartman Scholarship 1. The application and all information listed below must be completed by the candidate or designated party and submitted to the New Brunswick Church of Christ Mission Team for screening and information. The Mission Team will then submit their recommendation for final approval to the elders of New Brunswick Church of Christ. A. The applicant considered may be required to attend an interview session with the Mission Team, and/or elders of New Brunswick Church of Christ. 3. Applications should be returned to New Brunswick Church of Christ office. 4. Applicant will be advised of the decision concerning their application. 5. Stipulations: Recipient must take at least eight semester hours or equivalent. 90-hour degree (or equivalent) must be completed in 6 years. 60-hour degree in 4 years 30-hour degree in 2 years. 6. We reserve the right to terminate this scholarship for conduct unbecoming on the part of a recipient of an Ethel Hartman Scholarship.
ETHEL HARTMAN SCHOLARSHIP Purpose Statement 1. For the purpose of providing scholarship award(s) to deserving individuals of New Brunswick Church of Christ to attend one of our Christian church/church of Christ Colleges listed in the Christian Standard 2009-10 list. (Note: Any other or new colleges of our brotherhood must be approved by the eldership of NBCC. 2. To encourage our members to further their personal development through Christian education. 3. This scholarship is for tuition. It may also be used for room and board if funds are available. 4. Scholarships will be paid to the college on behalf of the recipient.
