Hello Leopard Families, THE LEAOPARD LEADER ENGLAND PTA NEWSLETTER February 2016 We have almost made it to 100 days at school and we wanted to share with you some of the things we have accomplished so far this year. The PTA Board has made some great strides this year to make sure you know what we do for the school, the teachers, and our students. New this year is the PTA Mailbox, located in the front office to facilitate communications and suggestions from parents. We publish content regularly to keep you informed of what we're doing and what's coming up next via the PTA Facebook page, PTA Website and Newsletter. We value feedback from the community and are committed to serving our community's needs. Which is why we read everything you post and take it into consideration. For example, parents posted on Facebook that they'd like a car sticker for EEE, so we immediately started a design contest and printed car stickers. They are now available in the online store for only $1 In addition we've made it easier than ever to become a member, purchase your Spirit Wear gear, yearbooks and more all via the online Leopard Store on the PTA website where you can purchase with a credit card. It is with the help of the Leopard families and staff that we were able to grow our membership to 530 PTA members and due to your generous support, we had a successful Leopard Leap Challenge that met our fundraising goal this year. Way to go Leopards Throughout the year the board works to enhance the educational experience at England and encourage community building at our school. With your help, some of the things we've accomplished so far this school year to promote our goals are: Yuck the Science of Slime Assembly Purchased New Playground Equipment Purchased Drums for the Music Teachers Reflections Program Winter parties Donated to the McNeil Project Graduation Parent vs. Teacher Volleyball Game International Children s Festival Math Superstars Family Movie Nights Spelling Bee Teacher Appreciation Donated to RRISD Partners In Education Gala Thank you to all who became members of the PTA this year and for everyone who has supported the PTA.
