The students have had many stories about their holidays from going to the Commonwealth Games to visiting friends and relatives to appointments and going with Dad in the truck and just staying home. Holidays are all about having a break from school routine which has been achieved. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to attend the Parent Partnership Forum (PPF) meeting yesterday afternoon. Our guest speakers from St Mary s Parish School Goondiwindi spoke very excitedly about what they can offer our students for Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 next year. Information packs are available from our office for you if you are interested in what St Mary s could offer your child s education. Also, as part of this meeting new policies School fees policy and Student Behaviour Support policy were adopted for our community. A copy is available at our office or on our website. I have included a copy in the newsletter as well. Guidelines have been developed by Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office which we will use to guide our implementation of this policy. OUR FEES are not changing without you knowing about it! Our school cross country will be run tomorrow. Students are to wear their team shirt (sky blue for Goretti, red for Mackillop). House groups have been included in this newsletter. MORNING TEA can be purchased on site at the Golf Course BUT lunch will need to be written on paper bag and handed to Sara at the Golf Course on arrival at 8:45. Other information regarding tomorrow is included in this newsletter. IF it is too wet a message will be sent to everyone s mobile in the morning. Go Goretti and MacKillop! All students are expected to return to school after we have concluded all races for the rest of the day. I look forward to seeing you all there tomorrow. MacIntyre Zone Cross Country will be next Friday at Inglewood Golf Course. Those students selected from 9 years to 12 years will receive further information regarding this event. Next Wednesday, we will celebrate ANZAC Day with our community. Please assemble at the church corner at 10:30 in dress uniform (no leaders shirts) including hat and water bottle ready to march to Memorial Park with other community groups. We would really love to have 100% attendance Students of the Week of students at this event. A calendar of dates is to the left of this message for information about what is happening at school. If you have any questions about any events please ring or see staff members for further information. Reflective quote for this week is It s always helpful to learn from your mistakes because then your mistakes seem worthwhile. Garry Marshall. Yours in God s love Paula No orders taken for morning tea tomorrow due to cross country. Home cooking, fruit, tea and coffee will be available to purchase at the golf course. Phone 07 4652 1109
