FERGUSON, PRESIDENT Congratulations to Laura O Neal, our 6 th grade science teacher, who was recognized as middle school teacher of the month by the Susquehanna Township Rotary Club. This recognition includes a financial contribution to the Hanna Education Foundation in her honor. Our former Susquehanna Township graduate and football player, Marques Colston (Class of 2001), is a starting receiver with the New Orleans Saints. He will be playing in this year s Super Bowl. Also, our former Susquehanna Township graduate and basketball player, Christopher Franklin (Class of 1991), is a member of the Harlem Globetrotters, who will be playing at the Giant Center in Hershey next month. SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS Dr. SUSAN M. KEGERISE, SUPERINTENDENT Congratulations to Ashley Ostott, 6 th grade student at the middle school, who was recognized by the Susquehanna Township Rotary Club as student of the month. In addition to a gift card, a donation was made in her honor to the Hanna Education Foundation. January is School Director Recognition Month. In that spirit Dr. Kegerise thanked each board member for his/her contribution of many public-service hours to the governance of this school district. The fact that you serve as volunteers, without pay, in well over 16 to 20 hours per month in related service, is commendable Dr. Barbara Hassan of Board Docs presented the newly updated version of Board Docs. Dr. Hassan reviewed the web interface and varied functions which Board Docs can provide. 2010-2011 BUGET The board approved a resolution for the 2010-2011 Budget, not to exceed the Act 1 Index RESOLUTION of 2.9%. ACTIVITY FUNDS Mr. Richard Mazzatesta addressed the current status of secondary level activity accounts by presenting information that he compiled and analyzed. ACTION ON A motion was set forth to consider other candidates for the office of assistant superin- ASS T. DIST. tendent for the term starting February 2011. SUP T.
