RELOCATION Procedure MOVE TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION 1. Once Superintendent determines evacuation is necessary, the Superintendent/Designee alerts Principals, Director of Student Personnel Services, School Business Executive, Head Bus Driver and Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. 2. All students will report to their classroom or homeroom, extra staff will report to their duty (see below). On-site bus drivers to be notified via public address system and/or radio. Staff and Students will not be allowed to use cell phones. 3. Students and Staff will evacuate to the following sites: a. IF THE EMERGENCY IS IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, elementary students evacuate to the high school auditorium (seating chart on page 58). The following staff members will assume duties as indicated: Laurie Beaton, Kelley Ivett, Charlie LaDuca and Joetta Pollock use one of your cars to drive to the high school. Joetta, bring emergency supplies and, if needed, assist in nurse s office; others be in the front hallway to direct traffic. Elementary School: All classroom teachers accompany their students Jamie Brown - accompany Grade 6 students Pat Connor accompany Grade 5 students Rachel Braun - accompany Grade 4 students Mary Mills accompany Grade 3 students Lisa Kelley accompany Grade 2 students (if in the building) Julie Scott and Adrienne Kelly stay with Lois Fleischmann s class Jennifer Miller - report to Matt Staples room Sarah Rich report to Anna Colvin s room Sandy Vanstrom - report to Tracy Raetz s room Jill Marsh - report to Terry Mansfield s room Lisa Gallivan - report to Bonita Fote s room Barb Nelson - report to Jeremy Daly-Griffen s room Nicole Hitchcock accompany UPK students Donna Derby and Kellie Swanson - stay with Ginny Maltbie s class Chris Latshaw - stay with student Rhoda Ellis stay with student If in the building, these staff members report to the front lobby to assist students boarding buses: Karyl Bergey-Glenn, Shawn Huestis and Kelley Pickreign. 3

The office will direct the boarding of buses over the PA system. Drivers are: Julie Maynard, Leslie Milliman, Don Silva, Ryan Stefanik and Deb Taylor If the decision is made to send students home: 4. Parents of students in Grades UPK to 6 are called. The Director of Student Personnel Services will oversee this: Jamie Sandy - call families with last names ending in A - D (use own office phone) Stacey Raiport - call families with last names ending in E, F, G and H (use Amy s office phone) Jan Szymanski - call families with last names ending in I, J, K, and L (use own office phone) Cheryl Vanzile - call families with last names ending in M, N, O, P and R (use own office phone) Colleen Brunswick - call families with last names ending in S - Z (use own office phone) *In the event that both buildings have to be evacuated immediately, staff cell phones will be used to contact parents. 4

b. IF THE EMERGENCY IS IN THE HIGH SCHOOL, high school students evacuate to the elementary gym and cafetorium (seating chart on page 59 ). The following staff members will assume duties as indicated: Devyn Agett, Chris Buczek and Jill Kenney use one of your cars to drive to the Elementary school. Jill, bring emergency supplies and, if needed, assist in nurse s office; others be in the front hallway to direct traffic. Jr./Sr. High School: All homeroom teachers accompany their students Brianna Colburn and Sue Zirkle - accompany Grade 12 students Isaac Habermehl and Shawn Howard - accompany Grade 11 students Liz Hesse and Alan Tanski - accompany Grade 10 students Lyn Grey and Dan Bittinger - accompany Grade 9 students Dawn Andrews and Mark Chase - accompany Grade 8 students Penny Benson and Cindy Snyder - accompany Grade 7 students Dianne Riggs and Marsh Smith stay with Lynn Kutschke s class Karen Clapp, Donna Crisanti, Daphne Cortright and Jackie Ellis- stay with students If in the building, these staff members report to the front lobby to assist students boarding buses: Karyl Bergey-Glenn, Shawn Huestis, Lisa Kelley and Kelley Pickreign. Procedure d. IF THE WEATHER IS NOT PERMISSIBLE AND BOTH BUILDINGS NEED TO BE EVACUATED, then all students will be evacuated to the South Dayton Fire Hall and Activities Hall MOVE TO SOUTH DAYTON FIRE HALL AND ACTIVITIES HALL 1. Staff will assist and report as follows. 2. All students will report to their classroom or homeroom, extra staff will report to their duty (see below). On-site bus drivers to be notified via public address system and/or radio. Staff and Students will not be allowed to use cell phones. 3. Superintendent's Secretary utilizes Global Connect to have bus drivers in to report to bus garage as soon as possible. Buses first go to the elementary building for evacuation. All students and staff will board buses no one will be allowed to drive separately except as noted in #3 above. The office will direct the boarding of buses over the PA system. After the elementary building is evacuated, the high school building will be evacuated in the same manner Drivers are: Julie Maynard, Leslie Milliman, Don Silva, Ryan Stefanik and Deb Taylor If the decision is made to send students home: 6. Any off-campus students, including students at BOCES, will be transported home at the normal release time. Director of Student Personnel Services will contact sites. 7. As regular drivers arrive they meet buses at the high school and evacuate students to the Activities Hall or meet their bus at the Activities Hall. Buses not in use proceed to the Activities Hall to take students home. 8. Parents of students in Grades UPK to 6 are called. After all parents have been contacted (#8 above), students board buses. Buses proceed as a regular pm gohome run. Students remain with staff at the SD Activities Hall if a parent/guardian/emergency contact person cannot be reached until normal release time. 10. Depending on the emergency, students who drive will either be transported home or back to school to pick up their vehicles. 11. Staff are returned to school by school vans driven by: Dale Hooker, Terry Howard and Tom Mansfield. 8
