It was then that Doug met his wife, Mutsumi, a full Okinawan who was born and raised in Okinawa, who like Doug says she is a very wonderful person. On 1993, son Jeffrey was born, followed by son Justin on 1994 in Okinawa. 1993 also found Doug being sponsored by the Hood River KofC Council into their ranks while he was stationed in Okinawa. He joined Catholic Men of the Catholic Church in Okinawa as there was no Knights council there. In 1997, Brother Doug left active military duty and joined the Air National Guard in Portland, Oregon. Daughters Yuki was born in 1999 and Miya was born in 2002. On 2008 the Kleins moved to Damascus, Oregon where they reside today and also joined the East Multnomah Council 3179 where Brother Doug and his family have a very active presence today, be it during the First Sunday Breakfasts, Parish picnics, Council socials, State Convention, Golf Tournament, food drives, Special Olympics for KofC, CCD or RCIA or hall cleanup crew when the Klein boys are always a helping hand s presence.
