Thanksgiving Worship 7 pm Wednesday, November 21 Come give thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His Blessings. We ll worship together Wednesday evening here. Car-Line Safety Please inform whoever you have bringing your children or picking them up that they should pull as far forward as possible to allow more cars to stop behind. Now that we re having snow and ice on the ground, we want our adult volunteers to open the doors and help children get out of cars. We re trying to avoid children sliding under the cars. Thank you for your assistance. Winter Weather Uniform Details Students need snow pants, snow boots, and good jackets if they want to play in the snow. In addition, students wear long pants and girls wear stockings, leggings, or tights under their skirts to avoid hypothermia.
Snow Days School Closing or Delayed Starts On snowy days, we consider many factors when determining whether to close school, delay the start, or conduct our normal schedules. Our priority remains the safety of all our families, so we consider the students coming from a distance and across snowy roads. We check the current and predicted weather. We see what the Keene Public Schools decide as they post their decisions on the WMUR Channel 9 television station. Yesterday, meteorologists predicted warmer and clearer weather and the area schools were declaring 2-hour delay schedules, so we posted our 2-hour delayed start decision. We learned that, in addition to posting our schedule on the WMUR Channel 9 station and e-mailing our families, we also need to text families using our emergency texting system. All these notices will be sent when the decision is made, usually before 6:00 am, if not by 5:15 am. Please let us know if you did not receive an e-mail, which means we need to update it. Honoring Veterans last Wednesday We thank all the Veterans who attended last week s Chapel Worship. We appreciate their service and their presence in our communities. November Food and Christmas Child Projects We thank everyone for contributing non-perishable food for the Community Kitchen, and for contributing gift boxes for the Christmas Child project.
