Update on Construction of Simcoe Road: The timelines described below are all pending no unforeseen delays and Mother Nature s co-operation. The Contractor s advised that it is their intention to pave the next stretch (approx. 400m) within the next couple weeks. All major underground works at the north end of the street should be completed by mid-to-end November. By Christmas we are hoping to have: Curb and base asphalt completed for the entire street Sidewalk completed on the west side of Simcoe Road Multi-use path on the east side hopefully part way up the street. This item is severely dependent on the weather staying above freezing temperatures. There will still be a force/work on site throughout the winter as we have work to do through the easement at the south end of the project. Landscaping, sodding, plantings, remainder of multi-use path on the east side will be starting in Spring 2017.
