Principal Message Dear parents Our final newsletter for first term sees our school well organised for the rest of the school year. Our students have been very productive in their classrooms and focused on learning to achieve their best. Due to increased enrolments we will be forming a new Year 3 class early in term 2. Parents will be informed of any changes made to their child s class when finalised. This new class will ensure reduced student numbers across all Year 3 classes and more teacher time for our students. Students will remain in the these classes for the rest of this year. You will have seen two new demountable classrooms installed in our playground this week. Classes will be reorganised during the first week of next term in the new accommodation. Parents will be informed of room changes in those classes affected. We are waiting for an official announcement of our school building program. This program will replace demountable classrooms in our school with permanent modular classrooms. The current large number of demountable classrooms in our school will be a temporary arrangement. Plans and building to replace demountable classrooms will begin this year. Dates and designs will be published as soon as we receive them. Show Day was last Thursday. It is a major fundraising event for our school. Students had a wonderful day, full of excitement. We raised $16,300 on the day. Thank you to all our parents who supported the day and made Show Day so successful. Anzac Day falls in the last week of our school holidays. We will hold our Anzac Day assembly this Friday, the last day of our school term. Anzac Day is an important day for all Australians and will be commemorated by all students in our school. I would like to thank teachers for their efforts this term. Thanks also to our P&C, school staff and all parents who have supported the school and helped us make such a positive start to the year. Have a great weekend and school holiday everyone. I will be on leave for the first three weeks of next term. Mrs Needham will be relieving principal during that time. Regards G. Walker
