U U UAU Newsletter - June 2017 Website: www.uauonline.in Email: office.uau@gmail.com

President's Message Dear Friends & Colleagues, It is my pleasure to welcome all the members of UAU. It was a memorable Conference organized at the Historical city Bareilly. The organizing Committee had left no stone unturned making our stay and participation in the conference enjoyable. Many new ideas were incorporated to improve the standard of the conference. I am confident the UAU-2018 at Varanasi will be enriched with more vibrant academic contents. With best wishes Dr. U. S. Dwivedi Professor Department of Urology IMS, BHU Varanasi-221005 Immediate Past President's Message Respected Seniors and Friends, Greetings from Kanpur!!! As a parting message, I am overwhelmed by the love and affection of our Senior members and fellow members who have guided me from time to time in the past one year. I must thank to all the office bearers of my tenure specially the dynamic Honorary Secretary & Treasurer without whom I would not have accomplished the task of unifying the organization. The year has shown tremendous promise and we have grown over the time as a force to reckon with. From merely few urologists, we have attained a figure of over a century and can boast of being the largest organization in North India. We have several scientific events like North Zone annual meeting, workshops at Varanasi and Allahabad and national & International Conference participation by our members which has been acknowledged at both National and International level. The attendance at our Annual meet at Bareilly and active participation by delegates speaks of the changing trend of our States wherein members have participated and shared their experience openly. The Bareilly meet has been very well attended and the Organizing Secretary Dr. Neeraj Agarwal and team members of Bareilly Urological Club needs to be commended for the herculean task of organizing a successful meet for the first time in that City. The decisions taken by the Council and General Body at Bareilly needs to be implemented with utmost sincerity by all the members. The interaction by members is the life of any vibrant organizations which has to be carried out. The new activities initiated by us like Quiz at Institute level has been appreciated by all members. The City chapters must protect the interest of fellow Urologists as both media and public have become quite hostile to medical fraternity and we should not criticize in open. The fresh team of UAU will bring more changes in both academic and social front and our organization is likely to grow as a strong fold in both Zonal and National level. Long live UAU Jai Hind!!
