Work Program 2017-2018 Implementation of the EC funded project Promoting European Social Dialogue in the Postal Sector in an enlarged Europe (2-year project) while monitoring the impact of the digitization on training and retraining needs and programs, with particular attention to e-commerce and parcel delivery Three phases for the project (starting phase as of February 2017, closing phase by February 2019) Phase 1: Preparation of Regional seminars Phase 2: Staging of Regional seminars Phase 3: Final conference in Brussels and final report

Project main topics Analysis of the increasing digital transformation of the postal sector How social partners are managing this transformation Impacts on jobs and competences, training needs, training programmes and work organisation better understanding of the programmes of digital transformation put in place in terms of training and cultural evolution Better understanding for digital skills and needs for new jobs Opportunities of the digital economy in terms of new activities development, in particular in the parcels sector,due to growing e-commerce segment Capacity building to raise awareness on the Social Dialogue Committee for the postal sector (SDC) activities, in particular, but not exclusively, in Central and Eastern Europe Dissemination of SDC rules, organization, opportunities, joint outcomes
