We look for candidates with the intellectual capacity to handle a challenging academic program and with the potential to succeed in a complex and dynamic industry. Allow a minimum of 2 weeks after the interview to receive your final decision. Mandeep Singh (EHL 2011) Mandeep Singh was a human resources professional prior to joining the EMBA program. Since graduation, he went on to become Senior Vice President of HVS Executive Search and recently founded his own hospitality consulting firm, Hospitality Human Capital based in Las Vegas, U.S.A. My time at EHL was a transformational experience for me. I immediately became immersed in the different cultures, the curriculum and the extra-curricular activities. This, along with the personal development coursework was instru mental in my evolution on both a personal and professional level. Also, beyond the context of the business knowledge I gained, I learned that hospitality is more than an industry it is truly a mindset and this mentality now carries me through every aspect of my life. Dr. Maggie Chen Maggie Chen, Assistant Professor of Marketing, is a global professional who has worked in the hospitality industry in the United States and Taiwan. She has taught at the college level in Switzerland, France and Puerto Rico. Professor Chen s Digital Marketing course explores how and why new digital media are changing the marketing landscape and influencing the marketing mix of hospitality products and services. In this course, you ll review strategic opportunities to provide personalization and dynamic customer interaction. You ll also explore the implications of implementing a digital marketing strategy. One of Professor Chen s prime research interests is hospitality consumer behavior, particularly customer/website interactions. She has published her research findings in numerous industry publications, including the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Journal of Travel Research. The payment delay is 30 days. Once enrollment has been confirmed, students will be charged the totality of compulsory fees as a lump sum (art. 160 & ff, Code des Obligations) even if they do not take up their place at the start of term or complete the academic year. A repeating student pays the fees of the intake which he follows. Down payment (Reservation) After confirmation of admission to EHL, students are required to pay an advance on tuition fees of CHF 6,000 in order to guarantee their place. This amount is non-refundable, except in extreme circumstances. The down payment amount will be deducted from the total amount due by the student. Ref. Ref. Deposit (reimbursed at the end of studies) Fees Fees A deposit of CHF 5,000 will be required from all new students. This deposit is to cover any extraordinary costs which can arise during the student s studies at EHL, for example damage to rooms or other installations. The deposit will be reimbursed at the end of the student s studies at EHL. Interest earned on the deposit will accrue and be added to EHL s scholarship fund, as part of the institution s social responsibility policy for the education of students with financial difficulties. Students who abandon their studies during the academic year must inform EHL of their decision one month before the beginning of the next academic session in order to be eligible to request a refund of the deposit. These prices are defined based on the inflation rate forecasted by the Swiss National Bank (BNS). If there is a strong variation, EHL will make adjustments accordingly. Prepaid Food & Beverage Account (based on consumption) At the beginning of each academic year, student cards are charged with an amount considered as the minimum a student will spend on food and beverages. This card can be used in the various points of sale on campus. The prepaid amount must be used before the end of the academic year and is not refundable. As part of the institution s social responsibility policy for the education of students with financial difficulties, any remaining amount at the end of the semester is transferred to EHL s scholarship fund. Students can recharge their card at any time. 3. Mandatory Health Insurance (legal obligation) A basic health and accident insurance is mandatory by law in Switzerland. Students whose fiscal residence is outside Switzerland (or whose parents fiscal residence is outside Switzerland) at the time they start their studies at EHL are automatically enrolled in EHL s accident and insurance plan. It is possible to be exempted from this insurance coverage by providing sufficient proof of adequate coverage to the Swiss authorities. Students whose fiscal residence is in Switzerland need to provide the school with a copy of their actual insurance plan. 4. Swiss Authorities Administrative taxes are collected by the Swiss authorities for those persons who are in possession of a residence permit or valid visa. These may include other communal and cantonal fees. Amounts may vary according to the nationality of the student. Swiss authorities require students from outside the EU/AELE to make an initial payment of CHF 17,900 before submitting a visa application. This amount will be deducted from their first invoice.

On-Campus Accommodation & Parking 300 rooms are available on site at EHL. All students residing on campus benefit from an optimal setup, with easy access to school, EHL s numerous facilities, the beautiful local surroundings and regular public transport links to Lausanne. General Conditions Information Supplement Rooms and parking are invoiced for the duration of the academic year in which the student is enrolled, compulsory internships excluded. Heating, electricity and internet costs as well as bed linen, towels and weekly cleaning are included in the price (costs estimated at CHF 350/month). There is a tourist tax of CHF 15.- per 15 days. This will be invoiced to students whose legal address is not in Switzerland (legal obligation) for the duration of their stay on campus. The construction of new accommodation on campus is planned for 2017-2021. For comparison purposes, a simple studio in the Lausanne region leases for approximately CHF 1,400 per month (utilities included), excluding heating, electricity, maintenance, linen (bedding and towels), wifi and are generally for a 12 month period minimum. In the case when a parking space is not requested, EHL will reimburse up to 30% of the cost of a 3 zone public transport (TL) subscription bought by a student.
