Freshman Seminar (Get Focused, Stay Focused) In the GFSF program, all incoming freshmen take FRESHMAN SEMINAR where students develop an online 10-year career and education plan, focused on exploring interests. This comprehensive guidance course is as applicable for the highest functioning students as it is for at-risk students. After the freshman transition course, students continue in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades updating their 10-year Plans in English class and expanding their career and educational options using the three GFSF Follow Up Modules.

Athletic Information STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE A PRELIMINARY CLEARANCE (PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM ) IN ORDER TO TRY OUT OR PRACTICE. NO EXCEPTIONS!! All sports require a try out on the day prescribed by the coach. Actual tryout dates will be posted at http://www.samohi.smmusd.org/athletics/index.html There are many advantages to joining a sport: being a member of team and thus feel a part of Samohi, demonstrates commitment to colleges as well as possible scholarships, and an incentive to maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average.
