Jesus simply said, If there is one of you who has not sinned, let him be the first to throw a stone at her. Jesus did not condemn the woman, but called her to conversion. In this year of Mercy, it is vital for us to show mercy to those around us, just as God shows us mercy! We all make mistakes and God forgives each of us with great compassion, continually calling and welcoming us back to Him. It is within ourselves, that we too find the compassion to share God s mercy with others. Thank you to those families who were able to attend our WYD Disco last Friday night. It was a great success with the children enjoying an afternoon of dancing with their friends, while at the same time raising some much needed funds to support Miss Lynch and her pilgrimage to World Youth Day later in the year. Thanks goes to Miss Lynch in particular, and the staff of St Finbar who supported this event so generously. Our next event is our WYD Trivia Night coming up on the 1 st of April. Get in quick to secure your table and come along for a fabulous night of trivia, games and good fun. We have had some terrific donations for prizes, such as a signed 2002 Australian Rugby Union Jersey and beautiful perfume for the ladies. The staff have two tables secured, so we challenge you to come along to find out who the trivia champions will be! The students will be working on different ways to persuade you to come along as our St Finbar s Writing Challenge was launched on Monday at our assembly, so be prepared for some pretty convincing persuasive techniques! For your information: Our P & F Meeting is on tonight, starting with a workshop on How to write with my child at 7pm and the P & F Meeting commencing at 7.30 to 8.30pm. ALL welcome! Our school Cross Country is also tomorrow, so come along to cheer on our students. WYD Trivia Night is on the 1 st of April. Tickets are available for $20 a head. Get in quick to secure your table! Can you beat the teachers???? Thanks to all those students who supported our Easter Raffle Mufti Day last Monday. The raffle will be drawn at our Whole School Assembly next Monday in the Church Hall!
