Subject: State-wise Allocation of funds under Indira Awaas Yojana for the year 2015-16 Sir, I am directed to forward herewith a Statement showing State-wise allocation of funds under LAY for the year 2015-16 (Column 2 of Annexure). It is also stated that the financial allocation has been made as per the guideline giving 75 per cent weight to rural housing shortage from the latest Census data and 25 per cent weight to poverty estimate. 2. It has also been decided in the Union Budget 2015-16 to rework the fund sharing pattern for the scheme during this financial year. The final decision on this is awaited. In view of the above, the tentative physical and the category wise break up is shown in Columns 3-7 of Annexure. It is stated that these are same as the targets given in 2014-15 and are subject to revision once the fund sharing pattern is finalised. You are requested to finalise the district wise targets under intimation to this Ministry. 3. The first instalments would be released to all States/UTs who have availed of the second instalment in 2014-15 and to States/UTs who have submitted their complete consolidated proposals in the financial year 2014-15. All other States would have to submit consolidated proposals in the prescribed format for release of the first instalments. The central allocation has been worked out assuming a 50:50 sharing pattern between centre and States. However final orders on the sharing pattern will be communicated to the States in due course.
