On Tuesday the St Paul Apostle South Choir came to perform for us. Miss Banks teaches at SPAS and works with their choir on Thursdays & Fridays. Both the SPAS choir and our own St Joachim s choir put on an amazing performance showing their hard work and dedication along with their wonderful talent. The showcase of talent continued on Wednesday with our Annual Talent Show. Performers in the talent show went through an audition process: the judging panel included Miss Banks, Miss Walker and our Performing Arts Leaders Seth and Tayla. It was terrific to see different students shine through dance, song and comedy, and it was equally pleasing to see how proud and encouraging the audience was of those who performed. Yesterday we had footy day! Of course a highlight of the day was our parade. Well done to our Sports Captains Anuk, Harrison, Millie, Lochlan, Poppy, Ryan, Ethan and Tyson who did a great job at running the show and providing some interesting facts about each team. Thank you to Mrs Kelly and Mrs Simpson who helped prepare the students. I was lucky enough to present our school footy tip winners with their prizes. Congratulations to Chelsea, Edel and Cameron! Another highlight of the day was the hot dog lunch - special thanks to Melinda, Christine, Stef and Katelin for preparing the special footy day hot dog lunch for students. When we return in term 4 students may wear either summer or winter uniform for the first couple of weeks. After that all students are expected to be in full summer uniform. There will be an expectation that all students wear their school hat in term 4. Hats are available from the Uniform Shop for $12. Wishing everyone a very happy, safe and relaxing break from school! We look forward to seeing your smiling faces when school resumes on October 3rd. Irene Stewart Deputy Principal / Student Wellbeing Leader

This story time is open to all of our siblings who are coming to Prep at St Joachim s next year. Many of our students are arriving at school very early and we ask that families make use of our Before School Care program if students are at school before 8:20 a.m. This is a legal duty of care issue. After School The school bell goes at 3:15 to end the school day. Children should be picked up by 3:30 or be enrolled at After School Care The Camp Australia Outside School Hours Care program is an extension of St Joachim's Primary School, providing children with a safe environment in which they can explore and play.
