Final Project 2 It is recommended that you to obtain a mark of 60% or more in this Final Project before doing the final exam for this course. Instructions Fill out the section titled identification. Write all your answers in the booklet. Do not forget to proofread all your answers. Submit this evaluation situation to your teacher if you are following the course at an adult education centre or send it to your tutor if you are following a distance course. There are two parts to this final project: a preparation and a written part. The table used to evaluate the written part is given to you below. You can use a dictionary and the Reference Booklet. Final Project 2 Part 2: Making Connections and Writing About... Your work for Questions 1 and 2 is worth 20% of your final mark: Question 1 checks your understanding and Question 2 checks your capacity to reinvest your understanding and generalize beyond the texts. Your work for Question 3 is worth 80% of your final mark and evaluates your written production. Final Project 2 Question 3 You have been selected for a position. You must answer your employer in writing. Write an email (100 to 120 words) to your employer, thanking him for selecting you for the job. You now want to negotiate your schedule, salary and vacation time. Use all the emails, letters, and information you have gathered in this chapter to help you include all the necessary information. Don t forget to mention the job title. Use the email format you practised. Remember to use abbreviations where appropriate, capitals, punctuation, correct grammar, spelling and formal language. Check for mistakes in grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation. Proofread your work. Whether or not your teacher or tutor chooses to evaluate this final project, prepare it carefully and take the time to review and proofread your answers. 11
