St. Agnes School Mailbag Newsletter for January 18, 2019 Special Notes from Mrs. Paulsell: TRIVIA NIGHT: What is Trivia Night, you ask? Well, it is the most exciting adult-only event of the year! o WHEN: Saturday, February 9, 5:30-9:30 pm o WHO: Parents and Adult Friends of St. Agnes School o WHAT: Tables of up to 8 are made to participate in a crazy fun night of trivia, laughter, fellowship, and of course food and drink! Each table decides on their own theme - ranging from dressing in the same color to head-to-toe KISS band costumes. Each table supplies their own food and drink. Attendees can register as a table of up to 8 or sign up as individuals and be placed at a table. Gift baskets donated by each classroom will be raffled off that evening! CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: The schedule for Catholic Schools Week is attached. We are super excited about the plans for this year and hope that we can have a HUGE donation of canned goods to Well of Life. If you have any questions, please contact your classroom teacher or the front desk. FAMILY FUN NIGHT: A flyer was sent home today for the family Fun Night event. So those who have parents that cannot attend/transport at 3:30pm, there is a bus transportation form on the back of the flyer. This is a come and go event so attendance for the entire two plus hours is not required. The goal of the event is to have a place to bring families together during Catholic Schools Week with other SA families and have fun! CAFETERIA HELP: We are always in need of help in the cafeteria. Announcements: Thank you to 5th grade for planning a beautiful Mass today. 4th grade will be planning our next All-School Mass on January 18th and Sister Cecilia Ann will be attending to present the school with a Feast Day gift.. Please join us! Emerald Girls Dance Team is hosting a clinic on Friday, February 8th at Springfield Catholic High School. Informational flyer and registration form is attached to the mailbag. Rosary Group: Rosary will resume on Monday, January 7th and continue every Monday at 8 am in the St. Agnes Chapel. We will continue to pray for the specific needs of our St. Agnes families. Please email Hannah Lowrance, hannahlowrance@gmail.com, with any prayer requests and consider joining us for the rosary when you can- we d love to pray with you. SCS Subs Needed: We are accepting application for Substitute Teachers, Paraprofessionals and Cooks. You must have 60 credit hours to substitute teach, no experience necessary for the teacher s aide or the cafeteria, VIRTUS certification is required for all employment. We hope you will consider, and encourage family and friends to be a part of Springfield Catholic Schools. Students will write letters and make pictures for the school to enjoy celebrating Catholic Schools. Wednesday, January 30, 2019: Focus on Students Geography Bee Finals, Grades 5-8 Movie Mashup: Each classroom will be showing a different movie. Students will be allowed to choose the classroom they attend. Hosted by Student Council. Trivia Night is one of our biggest fundraisers, an evening full of school spirit, crazy costumes, fun trivia, and fellowship with our amazing school community. Please consider making a donation to our event. We will use your contributions as prizes and giveaways throughout the evening.
