Grand Knight s Message Brother Knights,. We should all be praying for the Shumaker family and especially Joe and Carol Dahm whose grandson, Sean Shumaker, passed to the Lord on January 10, 2012. We all worked hard to help Sean s family with various fund-raisers and now need to pray hard for them and all those affected by his passing. Sean was a very courageous young man and will be missed by many, but the Lord saw fit to end his earthly suffering and call him home to the sweet embrace that we all hope to experience when our time is done. Rest in the Peace of the Lord Sean. Also keep those affected by the floods last year in your prayers as they continue the long road to recovery. An extra thought for all our affected members is truly welcome and appropriate. Please pray for all Priests and especially for Fr. Kurgan, Fr. Brown, Fr. Lawrence, Fr. Kelly and Fr. Please sign up early! Right to Life Spaghetti Dinner at Binghamton Council January 29, 2012 is the date for the annual dinner. We are scheduled to work from 3 to 6 pm. Tickets are $7 and available from Don Toner (607.625.5700). Please sign up as early as possible. I will have the tickets at the meeting on the 23 rd or you can call me anytime and I ll make arrangements to meet with you and get you your tickets.
Ladies Auxiliary News A request from the Ladies Auxiliary to all members of the Knights of Columbus If you know of any woman who is looking to join a group which has faith, friendship, and charity as its base, the auxiliary may be it! The K of C Auxiliary is a Catholic woman s organization whose members are of the Catholic faith. Membership is open to any woman over the age of 18. If a non-catholic is married to a member of the Knights, she is welcome to join the Auxiliary. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month, with the exception of July and August, in the OLS Parish Center basement. On Wednesday, March 14 th from 11AM to 6PM and on April 6 th, Good Friday, from 11AM to 7PM. Please pass the word on these fund raisers as the proceeds will go into our general charities fund to help support our various requests for assistance. With our budget cuts this year we need to boost our coffers as much as possible to help those in need.
