Where can I study?
How can students support themselves?
Students 100% effort in lessons Ask for help as and when they need it Create a plan Make sure homework is completed the night it is set Don t leave work to the last minute Talk to staff/parents/teachers/tutors
Revision What can you do to support?
Parents Create a quiet space away from distractions Make sure they have the resources they need revision guides, post-it notes, highlighters etc. Make sure they are getting enough sleep Make sure they take breaks Help them to create a balance between work and play Ensure that revision is effective
Parents Trust them to make their own decisions Let them come to you about issues/problems Interest not pressure Focus on students learning and not their results Forcing students to revise often does not lead to effective revision Offer help from an informed position
