GREETINGS from Outward Bound Singapore (OBS)! As you are about to embark on a programme with us, we think it will be useful to provide you with some critical information to ensure that your time with us will be as productive and enjoyable as possible. COURSE OBJECTIVES This course will allow you to: A. Build rapport and bonding with residents outside the professional work environment; (to know each other s name, personal & professional information); B. Develop the NUHS TRICE Value with the residents and team together during the outdoor experiential activities; C. Experience and understand the concepts of team dynamics to enhance the working relationships at NUHS; D. Foster team spirit through participation in a series of outdoor experiential activities; E. Create a sense of identification and shared common purpose (patient focus) as one NUHS. The course has been designed in collaboration with National University Hospital (S) Pte Ltd and aims to help participants achieve the above objectives.
SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW COURSE INFORMATION An Outward Bound course is mentally and physically challenging, but you may discover strengths and potential you never knew you had. What an Outward Bound course can do for you depends on you; you will benefit more when you have an open mind to learn, enthusiasm to try (and sometimes try again) and to help others learn. PREPARING FOR THE COURSE OBS activities are within most people's capabilities. However, you should get used to physical activities. Start by engaging in some light conditioning exercises such as jogging, swimming or cycling. Prepare yourself mentally to be stretched and also learn Come prepared with the appropriate gear to ensure your experience is not jeopardized (See Annex A) Stay healthy! - Participants on MC or are excused from physical activities may be rejected from the programme, or asked to take on the role of an observer. BACK TO BASICS At OBS, you will work in a group (called 'Watch') of up to 16 people, stay in non-air-conditioned dormitories. Food will be provided for by our in-house caterer. In addition, OB S as an educational institution is a nosmoking facility. Smoking, as well as the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited throughout the course. We ask that you challenge yourself, and you might be pleasantly surprised at the end of the course!

Alight near jetty. (Average waiting time: 15-20mins) Do report at the entrance of Punggol Jetty by 0835 hrs on 25 April 2014.
