WHY MAKE IMPACT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY YOUR CHOICE? The difference you will find at Impact Christian Academy is a driving force to see students find God s purpose for their lives and to become all He wants them to be. Impact Christian Academy will equip them with the educational, spiritual, leadership, and social skills necessary to impact their world for Jesus Christ. Differences will include intentional biblical worldview training and integration, personal interest and attention to every student, and a deliberate focus on the family. BECAUSE WE WILL. have competent, caring and committed professionals dedicated to each student's success provide excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts provide a curriculum scope and sequence for all grade levels with a Director of Curriculum value each student for his or her individuality, unique qualities and gifts facilitate a loving and nurturing environment provide a college preparatory education surround students with a community of like-minded individuals raising their families together from a biblical worldview foster a spirit of excellence that will follow our students into the future offer excellence now and a visionary plan to ensure excellence in the future offer a program that introduces and models participation in missions and community outreach beginning in PreK3

MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Impact Christian Academy is to partner with Christian families by equipping students to embrace biblical truth, strive for academic excellence, and model Christ-like leadership to impact their homes, churches, and communities for Christ. VISION STATEMENT The vision of Impact Christian Academy is to provide a Christ-centered education in an outstanding spiritual, social, and educational environment where, working with Christian families and churches, students will be thoroughly prepared to fulfill God s purpose for their lives. CORE VALUES In order to successfully fulfill our mission, Impact Christian Academy will give priority to seven core values. Each of our core values must have operating principles that allow us to incorporate them into daily practice in every aspect of our educational program. PORTRAIT OF AN IMPACT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY STUDENT In Luke 2:52, scripture tells us that Jesus matured in four areas: wisdom, stature, favor with God and favor with man. This holistic scriptural maturity paradigm provides a balanced picture, or portrait, for all of us to contemplate. Therefore, expectations of an ICA graduate are the following: To fear and respect God To develop an eternal perspective and work ethic based on Colossians 3:23 To embark upon and continue a rigorous intellectual development path (within the context of how God wired the student) developing the mind To demonstrate a strong liberal arts education characterized by proven writing, thinking, synthesis skills and mastery of academic objectives To have a big picture perspective of the world and to demonstrate the love and attitude of Christ to all Biblical teaching and application Christ-likeness Christian family Leadership Excellence in education Cultural awareness Community service

IMPACT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY DISTINCTIVES BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW INTEGRATION: The truths of God s Holy Word will be woven into every class at every level at ICA, not just in chapel and Bible class. CHARACTER TRAINING: ICA will put an emphasis on character training, using the ICA Code of Honor. The Code of Honor exists for one purpose: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, meaning "To the Greater Glory of God. This is the standard of excellence by which we must all conduct ourselves in order to be a light to the world. MISSION CONNECTION: Students in Elementary School, Middle School, and High School will be involved in mission trips and service projects. Older students will serve as mentors and models for the younger students through the Adopt-An- Athlete, Reading Buddies and Mission Partner programs. KINGDOM EDUCATION: ICA is founded on the philosophy of Kingdom Education which focuses on the partnership between the home, school and church. This philosophy sets ICA apart as a biblical worldview training model for the next generation. STUDENT-CENTERED CURRICULUM: Teachers and administrators will focus on the needs and potential of each student rather than preparing the student for state-mandated testing. SPECTRUM OF LEARNERS: Students will be offered the option of demonstrating mastery in a variety of ways rather than only through written tests. ICA will reach many levels of learners from those below grade level, on grade level or above, to those ready for the rigor and challenge of Advanced Placement courses. STUDENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: High School students who choose to participate in our Student Leadership program will be given the opportunity to examine cultural issues they will encounter in college and beyond. Our Student Leadership Program will be an intentional leadership development plan that is designed to teach students to think critically, serve humbly, and define, discuss, and defend their positions when confronted with opposing opinions. ATHLETICS: Our athletic philosophy is based on preparing student athletes to go out into the world and be game changers. Coaches will mentor and encourage students to be good stewards of the gifts and talents God has given them. TUITION ASSISTANCE: Tuition assistance will be based on qualified need, calculated by an outside approved firm, and distributed as available from year to year.

IMPACT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY DISTINCTIVES BALANCE: ICA is committed to fostering an atmosphere of balance. Academic excellence will be achieved with deliberate attention to homework relevancy and purpose, with individual tutoring provided by ICA faculty. ICA students will be able to participate in co-curricular areas while they excel in academics. SMALL GROUP SETTINGS: Small group settings will allow for more focused personal training than larger groups can provide. Following the example of Jesus and his twelve disciples, ICA will have small group training opportunities in every grade level. Students in grades 6 and up will have Advisory group sessions following their weekly chapels. Lower school students will benefit from programs designed by their teachers to meet their needs with a dedicated time of small group discipleship as well as a weekly Bible study following their chapel program. IS YOUR CHILD OF AVERAGE OR ABOVE AVERAGE INTELLIGENCE BUT STILL EXPERIENCING TROUBLE IN SCHOOL? We will be one of the few schools in the Southeast offering the Arrowsmith Program Students in the Arrowsmith Program are typically of average or above intelligence but are experiencing problems in school which may include difficulties with reading, writing, mathematics, remembering, understanding, dyslexia or A.D.D. Each student is unique in his or her combination of problem areas and our exercise program is individually designed for each student. The Arrowsmith Program is based on the philosophy that it is possible to treat learning differences by identifying and strengthening cognitive capacities. It is a program of intensive and graduated cognitive exercises that are designed to strengthen the underlying weak cognitive capacities that are the source of the learning difference. The cognitive exercises that are the foundation of the Arrowsmith Program may be thought of as a type of mental workout for the brain. The goal of the Arrowsmith Program is to strengthen the learning capacities of its students. If You Would Like More Information On This Exciting Program Being Offered At Impact Christian Academy In The Fall Of 2015, Please Contact Our School At (904) 652-1441.
