MISSION STATEMENT: Read by Claire Baker APPROVAL OF Sept MINUTES: Virginia Curtis-Threadgill made a motioned to accept the September minutes, seconded by Bill Trento, motion carried. X-mas Party, 10Dec2017, Three Hats Carriage House; 1:00pm Early Childhood Intervention, Christmas Carriage rides; 14Dec2017; 9am Bill Morris and Mike Wakefield will be providing the Rigs,.. We are in need of ground crew. MEMBERSHIP: Joycelyn Michel- reported two new memberships MEDIA COMMITTEE: Virginia Curtis-Threadgill: Our newsletter offers free classifieds to members, Contact Virginia to submit information.. OUTREACH: Debbie Adkins not available Bill Trento ---o Bill Trento brought up for discussion, participating at the 2018 Pack clinic with Hands on driving Education-Introduction Activities. Presenting stations in; Harnessing, hitching, rein board, and driving, with handouts and information at all stations. Driving participation would require a $10.00 fee. ($5.00 covering insurance- our three day membership and $5.00 to and education fund for 4H programs). o Motion was made by Bill Trento to participate at the 2018 Pack Clinic; Seconded by Virginia Curtis-Threadgill; Motion carried. o Drivers: Judi Dunn, Michael Wakefield and Virginia Curtis-Threadgill. HISTORIAN: Larry Baker: Not Available OLD BUSINESS: Jansenn s Play day ten people with two horses attended. Not a very good turnout. Good Food and good fellowship. It takes a team to make this happen so thank you to Veralynn our SOHACC secretary and to William Trento our V.P.for allowing me to get this out on time for a change! We're experiencing the cold nights and sunny afternoons (also a brief snowstorm) that tell us that winter is near. Time to winterize your farms and homes! Those ponies are starting to look fuzzier every day. Hope you're all still taking advantage of some beautiful days to play with your horses! Janssens's Playday was poorly attended but those who did come out on October 10 th had a great time and some yummy food. Reminder: We're hoping for a great turn out at the De-Spooking clinic. This is not restricted to members, so tell your friends that it's all happening at 7th Heaven Shires in Keno, OR Saturday the 28th of OCT. from 10-2. You received a flyer in your last SOHACC email. The CAA October e- Newsletter features an article submitted by Kathy Graves on the educational presentation given at our October meeting on hoof angles by Michael Wakefield. SOHACC is happy to announce that all of the applicants who were evaluated on Oct. 23 rd at Three Hats Training Center earned their CAA Level I certifications. More on this in your November news!

November is Election Month for new Board and Committee members. Please attend our November meeting and elect your leadership! Reminder: November Meeting is at King Wah in Klamath Falls Board Meeting 4:30 No Host Dinner 5:30 General Meeting to follow 6:30 ******* Events Events scheduled for November 2017 Please see attached flier for the presentation that will be made at our November Club meeting. ******** Our December events are the club Christmas Party which will be held at Three Hats Carriage House in Worden. December 10th at 1PM. Bring a side dish or dessert. Michael Wakefield and Bill Trento are hosting. Dont' forget your white elephant gift! ****** We will be giving carriage rides on December 14th at the Early Childhood Intervention Christmas Party at the Klamath Event Center (Fairgrounds). Volunteers are asked to arrive at 8AM. The event goes until 2PM. Dress warmly!
