The basics The University obtained funded Medical places in March/ April this year The School will have an intake of 50 in 19/20 this will increase to 100 in 20/21 We have a partner University Keele who will support us in the development of the programme The programme is 5 years of which the first two years are based at the University. Years 3,4&5- students will spend the majority of their time in placement The delivery of the course will be integrated Risks!
USP Doctors from Sunderland will have the skills and proficiency equivalent to those from any other Medical School To produce more GP s To produce more clinical psychologists To give all students the same opportunity To keep/ attract Doctors in this and adjacent regions Medical Students will be training alongside other medical professions at the University
