A Master s in Business Administration (MBA) degree shall be awarded to students on fulfilling the curricular requirements and other criteria for award of degree. The same may vary depending upon the academic profile of the candidates. 15% seats (supernumerary) are also available in the program under NRI/International category details of which are mentioned in paragraphs below. 1
ELIGIBILITY (b) (c) Bachelor s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university in India or abroad, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates graduating in 2019 can also apply but must prove their eligibility latest by 30 October 2019. Those not producing the eligibility certificates or found ineligible as per the date mentioned will be disqualified/de-registered irrespective of having joined the program provisionally and participation in its academic requirements Applicants, including NRI/International candidates, seeking admission are required to have appeared in CAT/NMAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE/MAT with validity at least up to July 2019. Conditions to be eligible for NRI/International Students NRI/PIO/OCI (b) (i) PIO (Person of Indian Origin. A person who or whse any of ancestors was an Indian national and who is presently holding another country s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. (ii) OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. (iii) NRI shall be students whose mother or father, first degree relation including the real brother and sister, Grand Parents are NRIs or ward of NRIs person who should be the nearest relation to include Real brother and sister of father and mother i.e. real uncle and real aunt, Grandparents both paternal and maternal, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins. NRI implies An Indian citizen who is ordinarily residing outside India and holds an Indian Passport (iv) Further student can be sponsored for NRI admission, by such person, who have looked after such student as the guardian and evidence to that effect must be produced along with an affidavit signed by authorities in country where such person is residing International Student All students who are foreign country pass port holders and have passed their undergraduate program exams from a foreign University/ Board. SELECTION PROCESS (A) Shortlisting of Candidates Following factors would generally be considered for shortlisting and inviting candidates for the personal Interview (PI): (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) Score/percentile in CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XAT/GRE/MAT. Consistency and strong past academic record. Relevant work experience (if any, not mandatory) that brings value to the classroom learning. Extra curricular achievements reflecting leadership qualities, contribution to society and a well-rounded personality. (b) Only candidates short-listed based on relative merit amongst received applications will be called for a PI, which may be held online or at Bennett University Campus at Greater Noida. However, PI may also be held at other locations like Chandigarh/Lucknow/Patna/Jaipur/Mumbai/Bengaluru/Hyderabad. The PIs at these places shall only be held provided, the number of applications 2
(B) is adequate, which shall be decided by the University and communicated to the candidates. Selection The final merit list shall be drawn based on the candidate s performance in PI and CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XAT/GRE/MAT score, as adjudged by the University MBA Admissions Committee, (b) The discretion of the University MBA Admissions Committee will be final in all such matters relating to MBA admissions. IMPORTANT DATES (i) Issue of Application Forms Starts: 15 October 2018. (ii) Expected dates for PI: On-going from Dec onwards. Exact dates for PI shall be mentioned in the call letter for short-listed candidates after receipt of scores of various eligibility examinations. (iii) Date of commencement of program: July 2019 (Tentative). Registration may be done a week prior to the date of commencement of program. (iv) Closure of admission: The last date for closure of admission shall be mentioned in the admission offer letter to the selected candidates. FEE STRUCTURE For the Academic Session 2019-20, the fees shall be as below: (i) Tuition Fee - INR 7.0 Lacs per year. (ii) Registration Charges --INR 40,000/- (one time, payable at the time of registration and non-refundable). (iii) Security Deposit of INR 20,000/- (one time, refundable). (v) Hostel Charges INR 1.50 lacs (One lac fifty thousand) per year (including boarding, lodging and laundry) on twin sharing basis. The program being fully residential, all students are expected to avail the hostel facility. (vi) The candidates offered admission shall be required to deposit INR 1.25 Lakhs (i) tuition fees -INR 1 Lakh/ US$ 1500 (as applicable) and (ii) 25000/- towards hostel Charges, as an advance instalment of first semester, for booking of seat offered, and also as commitment to pay balance tuition fee for the semester, within the scheduled times given in the offer letter, failing which, the offer shall be passed on the next eligible candidate. (vii) The fees for Year 2 is indicative and may be revised by the management with prior notice. The fees do not include any charges for additional certifications, modules, immersions, training, industrial visits etc. which shall be charged to students as and when such activities are planned. The University shall not entertain any request for extension of the deadline for submission of fee. FEE STRUCTURE (NRI /International Category) (i) Tuition Fee US$13750 per year. (iv) Registration Charges US$800 (one time, payable at the time of registration and nonrefundable). (ii) Security Deposit of INR 20,000/- (one time refundable, can be paid in INR). (iii) Hostel Charges US$ 2500 per year (including boarding, lodging and laundry) on twin sharing basis. The program being fully residential, all students are expected to avail the hostel facility. (iv) The candidates offered admission shall be required to deposit (i) tuition fees - US$ 1500 and (ii) 25000/- towards hostel Charges, as an advance instalment of first semester, for booking of seat offered, and also as commitment to pay balance tuition 3
fee for the semester, within the scheduled times given in the offer letter, failing which, the offer shall be passed on the next eligible candidate. (v) The tuition fee and registration charges shall be required to be transferred from the foreign account of sponsor or foreign national or NRE account of NRI sponsor. Hostel and security charges may be paid in INR. (vi) Student admitted under this category cannot be converted to general category in subsequent years. (vii) Bennett University reserves the right to revise the fees from time to time. SCHEDULE OF PAYMENT OF BALANCE DUES. The same shall be indicated in the admission offer letter. Such employment of not less than 24 months will need to be proven through Form 16 issued by the employer(s). The work-experience based scholarship, will be a top up band, restricted to a maximum of 100% of Tuition Fees. The scholarship for 1 st semester (50% of the annual tuition fees amount) shall be offered upfront and adjusted in fee of the semester. However, the validity shall be checked during document verification at the time of registration. Continuation of studies as a student beyond 01 Aug, 2019, failing which the amount charged less from tuition fee, against scholarship, shall be adjusted against the refunds due, if any, For continuation of scholarship in 2 nd year (as Academic Scholarship), the student must achieve a CGPA of 8 and above on a scale of 10, in 1 st year of studies, and do not incur a fail grade in any course and do not have any disciplinary action initiated in the first year. APPLICATION PROCESS How to obtain and Fill the Application Form: The students may obtain and fill the application forms in any of the following ways. Obtain application form and brochure from the University office by cash payment of Rs.1000/-or sending a bank draft of same amount favouring Bennett University, payable at Greater Noida. Fill the application form and affix a recent 4
(b) (c) (d) coloured photograph at appropriate place. Post the application on the below mentioned address. Apply on line using net banking/credit/debit card. The on-line application portal i.e No Papers Forms (NPF) can be accessed through University web site - www.bennett.edu.in. Follow the guidelines thereafter. There is no separate on-line application form for the NRI/International student s. However, such candidates shall be required to submit a sponsorship form duly signed by the sponsor. The sponsorship form shall be available, once the candidates selects NRI/International student category. The same may then be downloaded and sent separately quoting the application number. Submission of application does not automatically qualify the candidate for participating in further selection process and no refund of application fee will be done for any reason whatsoever.
