Growth Groups AT CAMCC Growth Groups at CamCC offer an opportunity to meet with others for the purpose of becoming more like Jesus. A Growth Group is made up of 8-14 people who meet weekly to share life, study God s word and support one another. They are the primary way we connect, build relationships and take care of one another at CamCC. It is hard to make everyone feel at home when there are so many people. Over the years, and by God s grace, we have seen CamCC grow to the point that hundreds of people can be found on our campus on any given weekend. This can make it difficult to get to know others and to be known to feel connected.

We have put considerable energy and resources behind our Growth Group ministry. We desire a place where your needs and your name are known. Our Growth Group Ministry provides a safe place to connect and live life together. We have structured this into bite-sized commitments; each session is only 8 weeks long. It complements our Sunday services nicely by giving you the opportunity to participate in a smaller environment; one where the biblical one anothers can be practiced (love one another, carry one another s burdens, encourage one another, etc.) And, this is a great place to grow and stretch our faith. We hope you will take some time to look at the Growth Groups listed in this booklet and see which one might be a good fit for you and your family. Please remember that the first three weeks are free. This means that if for any reason you don t connect with your group within three weeks, we ask you to stop attending and then try a different group the next session. NO OBLIGATION!!! Sermon Based ALL OF OUR GROWTH GROUPS ARE SERMON-BASED These studies continue what was started on Sunday morning at CamCC. Growth Group homework will be available on our website Sunday afternoon. To download the homework, go to Camcc.net and go to the Sermons page. Once there, click on the RESOURCES button under that week s sermon. Then click on the DOWNLOAD HOMEWORK button. Homework will be in a DOC or PDF format for the greatest availability. Homework should take only about 20 minutes of time to complete. We then ask that you bring it with you to the group meeting. A discussion leader then facilitates a discussion on what you heard in the previous week s sermon. If you miss a Sunday, the sermon (via video or podcast) are posted on the same Sermons page of our website. CHURCH-PROVIDED CHILDCARE Groups that meet on Tuesday nights have the option of using the church provided childcare. With this option, kids are dropped off beforehand and picked up promptly after group meetings (Childcare hours are 6:30 to 9:00 PM) for a small fee per the fee schedule: Per eight-week quarter: 1 child - $40, 2 children - $75, 3 or more children - $100 In order to observe all legalities with regard to the number of workers, we require our families to sign up AND pay ahead of time. We are NOT able to take walk-ups. Please connect with Pastor Jim Moyer to answer any questions at the Discipleship Counter on Sundays or at jimmoyer@camcc.net.

DAN SCHARR THURSDAYS, 7:00PM HOSTED BY DALE & VIVIAN KLUGMAN Dan has been involved with Camarillo Community Church since 1992. Small groups have been a focus of his own ministry. He was the Principal of a secondary school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Prior to entering public education, he taught in Christian Colleges and was a Minister of Christian Education in the Midwest and Southern California. Missions is near and dear to his heart with his daughter serving for 25 years in some Zimbabwe, Africa, and Haiti. Most recently, he has been teaching one of the Sunday morning adult Bible classes, and has been serving as the chairman of the elders.

DAVE AND MERIDITH HURTADO AT THE HURTADO HOME David has been involved in full-time ministry for more than 15 years in churches ranging in attendance from 800-2,500 in Sunday attendance. David met his wife, Meredith, at nearby Church at Rocky Peak in Simi Valley. They have been married for 14 years and have four children, two pre-teens: Audrey and Donovan and more recently Sebastian and Nevaeh, 7 and 6 years old, who they adopted from the foster care system. David received a Bachelors of Arts in Bible Exposition from The Masters College; a Masters of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary; and most recently, a Doctorate from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2014. JESSE AND CHRIS BOYKIN WEDNESDAYS, 7:00PM AT THE BOYKIN HOME Jesse and Chris have lived in Camarillo for almost twenty years, but before that, they lived all over the world. Jesse completed a career in the Army, and Chris taught school overseas. They have a son and daughter and four grandkids who all live up in northern California, so Jesse and Chris make a lot of trips up to the Redwoods! In the meantime, Jesse likes studying about health, nutrition, and current events. Chris is a Master Gardener and works at Camarillo Ranch.

KENNY AND HEATHER KIBBLE AT THE KIBBLE HOME JIM AND GAYLE MOYER AT THE MOYER HOME Jim and Gayle Moyer have been married for 37 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. Gayle loves to quilt and cook and Jim loves to eat Gayle s cooking and hike. Kenny and Heather have been married for 23 years and have two kids in high school. Both grew up in Camarillo, just a few blocks from church. Kenny is the executive pastor at CamCC and Heather serves on the tech team. The Kibble family loves Fryathon, camping, and trips to the lake. Kenny enjoys building things and Heather likes to garden. Jim and Gayle were a navy family for 20 years and have lived in Camarillo since 1994. Jim now serves on the CamCC pastoral team.

MIKE AND ANGELLA LUZ HOSTED BY WILL & NICOLE GALE Mike and Angella have been at CamCC for 5 years. They have three wonderful children and have been married for 12 years. Mike and Angella are both part of CamCC s worship team; Mike plays drums and Angella is a worship leader. JOHN AND JOEY LAUBACHER AT THE LAUBACHER HOME John and Joey have been married for eight years and are the parents of two toddler boys. They have a passion for learning about the Lord and love encouraging others to grow in their faith. John and Joey are thrilled to be hosting a small group and to continue to serve their mighty Savior here at CamCC!

AARON AND LIEBA BUTLER WEDNESDAYS, 7:00PM HOSTED BY PAUL & JANE RUDD Please connect with Pastor Jim Moyer to answer any questions at the Discipleship Counter on Sundays or at jimmoyer@camcc.net. Hello! We re Aaron and Lieba and we are your typical Camarillo couple with a 14 year old daughter. Aaron is a small business owner and worked at CamCC as a discipleship intern for 15 months. Lieba works for the County of Ventura and loves what she does. We enjoy having fun but we also have a real heart for learning about growing as Christians. We look forward to this small group and what God will teachus together. Join us as we watch God work.
