We have another busy term ahead of us with many wonderful things to look forward to including, swimming sessions, Prep sleepover and China Trip and Grade 6 Orientation Day to secondary school, Graduation, to name a few. Add to this planned curriculum, assessments and completion of reports, a number of excursions and the usual end of year celebrations and it will certainly be a busy time. Communications home and reminders about all of these along with information from particular grades and levels will take a number of forms. These will include Newsletter dates to remember Compass posts Notes home So please check school bags, read newsletters and Compass posts. Class Placements In our last newsletter an invitation was extended to parents to provide us with input regarding their child s educational needs for our consideration during the class student placement process. Any requests regarding your children being/not being placed with a particular student should be put in writing and submitted by Tuesday 24th October. Thank you to those parents who have already forwarded their requests. All staff are committed to meeting the educational needs of all students. Considerable thought, planning and time goes into placing children into classes. Every effort is made to place each child in a learning environment that is happy, productive and successful. Building and Grounds Update All going well the landscaping works will happen in early November. We are aware and have discussed with the project managers about possible disruption to the school but will be working hard to minimise these wherever possible. A reminder that the gates will be closed during this time and entry into the school will be via the front doors or the side gate near the water tanks. During the holidays, the shelter shed was repaired and painted. There is also a section that has been painted in chalk board paint for the children to use. @CarltonGardens CGPS News 2
