We extend a very warm welcome to the new families who have joined the Woodville Community. As you will be aware, this year is the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC Landings at Gallipoli and as such, is a time for us to reflect on what, for Australia, was a pivotal moment in our history and saw the coming of age of Australia as a country. As part of this 100th Anniversary, there will be many events and activities planned for Wyndham but also around the nation and overseas as well. The senior school team has prepared a special
ANZAC day ceremony for the whole school tomorrow - it will begin at 2.30pm in the FLATS. Our school is conducting a survey to find out what your child thinks of our school. The Attitudes to School survey is an annual survey for Years 5 to 12 students offered by the Department of Education and Training. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school. Our school will use the survey results to plan programs and activities to improve your child's experience at school. Students in Year 5 and 6 will participate in this year s survey. Please speak to your child s teacher if you would like more information regarding the survey. Finally, a reminder that staff will be undertaking professional learning on Monday 27th April. This is a School Council approved Curriculum Day and as such students do not attend school on this day. All staff will participate in writing workshops; plan engaging writing opportunities for our students, and work in teams on our School Self Evaluation.
