Otago has increased to an enrolment of 50, up from an enrolment of 40 in 2017. Victoria has decreased to an enrolment of 30, down from 33 in 2017 and a high of 51 in 2016. AUT has increased to 14, up from 9 in 2017. Massey has an enrolment of 10, up slightly on 9 in 2017. Canterbury has stayed static at 13, same as 2017, down from 16 in 2016 and 20 in 2015 which reflects a drop in numbers enrolling in Engineering. Lincoln continues a downward trend, having no enrolments, down from 5 in 2016. Waikato has 3 enrolments, up slightly from 2017 but down from a high of 9 in 2016. Unitec has 3 enrolments, same as in 2017. Certificates & Diplomas have 12 enrolments, up from 7 in 2017, over half of which are university/foundation preparation courses. Anecdotal Conclusions: 12% of leavers will study overseas. 60% of the students who stay in NZ are at either Auckland (33%) or Otago (27%). 35% of NZ students are studying Science based subjects Engineering, Vet Science, Science, Aviation, First Year Health Science. 33% of NZ students are studying Commerce/Business. 18% studying Law First Year. 22% enrolled in double majors, 43% of which are B.Commerce and Law. 14 students this year studying either Product or Industrial Design, 4 of which are in Australia (29% of the 14).
