Departure Dates- 2 separate Y5 classes to travel to Spain First class: 5S (Mr Cookson): Monday 5 th -Friday 9 th November 2018 Second class: 5M (Mr Gane) Monday 12 th -Friday 16 th November 2018 Children arrive to school 5:30 -Travel to the airport by private coach Arrive at Sevilla airport by lunchtime

Morning Afternoon Evening Day 1 Leave from school early and fly to Sevilla. Lunch at the Plaza de España in Sevilla Pick up from airport and transfer to Spark school, Puerto Santa Maria (near Cadíz)- Settle into rooms Rooftop BBQ dinner Itinerary Day 2 Spanish language class. Tour of El Puerto, cathedral and Moorish castle Visit the town market to buy ingredients for paella (in Spanish!) Paella and Flamenco lesson Day 3 Spanish language class. Ferry to Cadíz & Churros con chocolate at a local cafe Visit Torre Tavira camera obscura and picnic in Parque Genoves Rooftop dinner and film Day 4 Spanish language class. Time on the beach/ final shopping Rooftop dinner & Spark slideshow presentation Tour of the local bullring in Spanish Day 5 Packing/ transfer to airport Lunch at the airport Pick up from school
Spanish Classes Children taught in small groups (maximum of 10 students per group) Focus on coversational / practical language such as food, trips, prices Postcard writing in Spanish Native qualified Spanish teachers Children to take their lessons outdoors in the afternoons completing vocabulary scavenger hunts, buying vegetables at the market etc.

What to Bring (weather is currently 23 degrees!!) Your child can bring only 1 hand luggage sized suitcase (56cm x 45cm x 25cm) Your child will need an empty refillable water bottle (school water bottle) 1 fleece / hoodie to wear travelling 3 t-shirts 3 long sleeve tops 3 pairs trousers 2 pairs of shorts / leggings Pyjamas Enough underwear for 5 days Flamenco outfit (optional!) Swimwear and a small beach towel Toiletries (max of 100 ml) in a labelled, re-sealable, clear, plastic bag Sun cream (white sun caps will be provided for each child) Trainers and beach shoes (flipflops/crocs) A thin rain jacket (just in case) A book to read (packed in small rucksack) Not needed: bedding bathroom towel electronic games sweets mobile phones - Disposible cameras only!!
Final Checklist for Monday 30th October Tasks to be completed by Monday 30 th October Tick 1. Have I handed in up to 15 euros (not pounds) into the office in the brown envelope with my child s name on it? 4. Have I ensured that my child has only 1 packed suitcase,1 small rucksack, 1 clear, labelled plastic bag with toiletries and an empty water bottle on the morning of the trip? (no liquids or sharp implements in suitcases please) 5. Have I set my alarm nice and early to arrive at school by 5:30 am?!! We must be punctual-

Also put your reading book& empty water bottle inside for the plane
Communication Mr Cookson/ Mr Gane will write an informative blog each day. Progress of our return journey will be communicated to the school office via class reps (return time:6:30 approx)
