Long hair must be worn tied back. Pupils must not dye hair in unnatural colours and boys styles should be kept neat and tidy. Make-up should be discreet and natural. Jewellery girls may wear single stud earrings (one per ear) and no other body piercings or jewellery. One watch is allowed. Boys should not wear any earrings or other body piercings. Pupils should also bring their own headphones for use in computing lessons. Coats are not to be worn indoors and scarves should not be worn around the school site.

Uniform Sixth Form Sixth form pupils MUST present a corporate image and set an example to the rest of the school. Smart business style suit (similar coloured jackets and skirt/trousers do not constitute a suit) Suits must be business like and not a fashion suit. Suit jackets must be worn at all times Girls may wear tailored style skirt suits or shift dress suit (with blouse underneath) instead of tailored trouser suit. The suit skirt length must be worn on the knee or longer Tight or elasticated skirts and trousers are too casual and not allowed A shirt with a proper collar must be worn underneath suits and shift dresses for both boys and girls Boys Shirts must be tucked in at all times Cardigans or casual jackets must not be worn instead of suit jackets. Boys must wear a tie with the top button of the shirt done up. Please buy shirts that allow this to be done comfortably Girls may wear tights that are plain and sober colours Boys and girls should wear sensible smart and plain shoes. All Shoes should be plain black ALL OVER and should be able to be polished. No Suede shoes or trainer style shoes please Girls heels should be less than 4cm, no stilettos. Facial piercings and eccentric hairstyles and colours are not suitable e.g shaved or tram lines Hair should be no longer than collar length on boys and neat on girls Facial hair is not desirable. Boys should be clean shaven Jewellery should be discrete and large hoop earrings are inappropriate for safety reasons Makeup should be simple and natural looking. Outdoor coats and jackets should be smart and not worn indoors. Scarves are not be worn around the school site. No hoodies (even leaver s or swim squad), track suit tops or casual jackets are to be worn over or under suits.

An overnight hand case containing all necessary items for the first night should be brought International pupils will be taken to Ron Sports to obtain their uniform on arrival at the school. POCKET MONEY: Pupils are not allowed to carry or hold large amounts of money at any time but they are responsible for any sum that they carry or hold. Money can be banked with the School Office at the start of every term or through the Houseparents at any time. Pupils are allowed to withdraw a maximum of 5 per bank day. If they require additional money, they should ask their Houseparents for a bank slip which authorises a larger sum. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to fix and notify the Houseparents of any restrictions on pocket money withdrawal. Pupils requiring weekend pocket money should request this through the Houseparents before breakfast on Friday and it is issued at intervals during the weekend. Again, any restrictions must come from parents/guardians. Weekly boarders may request pocket money on Friday and it is issued before they leave at 5.00 p.m.
