What s MBA Veterans Connect and How Do I Use it to Recruit? MBA Veterans Connect is a proprietary networking platform leveraging patent-pending technology that we give Sponsors access to in order to help them begin recruiting weeks prior to the event. It s been an asset of ours since 2010, but we gave employers access to it in 2012 for the first time. We continue to make significant enhancements based on your feedback from the previous years. Every candidate will create a searchable, viewable profile prior to the event. Your teams can search candidates based on every possible criteria (gender, branch of service, MBA program, functional interest, etc.) enabling your team to quickly and effectively source candidates. You will also be able to post jobs and build a pool of interested candidates, enabling you to engage in both passive and active recruiting 4-7 weeks prior to the event. We ll be sending you a link with login details and usage instructions on the dates listed below. How Many People Should We Bring and When Do They Need to Be Present? The great thing about this event is that it was deliberately designed to provide a rich, dynamic recruiting environment for all Sponsors. As such, it is not the kind of career fair where company reps and candidates stand around in an exhibit hall trading 30 second pitches for eight+ hours while getting sore feet. Instead, you and your colleagues will have an opportunity to connect with candidates across multiple touch points including company-reserved tables during each meal, panel presentations, networking cocktail receptions, and on-site interviews. It is important for your company and for us that you maximize your firm s ROI from the event. The best way to accomplish this is by fully participating in every aspect of the event. X 6 foot table o Additional tables available at daily rate of $495 ALL: 2 representatives Saturday, October 17 th ALL: As required by your team All Sponsorships include 1 interview table On-site Interview o Extra tables, if needed, are available at the a la carte rate of $295 Based on your firm s Sponsorship level, you will likely be able to staff more than these minimums, but you ll want to cover at least at these levels. At a minimum, we request that each firm with a company table as part of their sponsorship have 2 representatives (ideally one recruiter and one veteran) at each meal. If your firm is a Platinum, Diamond, Gold, or Silver sponsor this necessitates staffing dinner on Thursday, October 15 th in addition to Breakfast and Lunch on Friday, October 16 th. If you are a Bronze sponsor, please make sure to staff both Breakfast and Lunch on the Friday, Oct. 16 th. Please note that Bronze and Copper sponsors are invited to send 2 representatives to the Happy Hour and Dinner hosted by the MBA Veterans Executive Team at the Pre-Conference Networking event on Thursday evening. If you require meals for additional personnel over the number of guests allotted for your respective sponsorship bundle, please make the appropriate a la carte selection during guest registration via the online portal (link will be emailed to Corporate POCs). 8

How Many Guests Are We Allowed with our Sponsorship? Guest Registrations Included with Sponsorship Platinum (Plus): 12 Platinum: 10 Diamond (Plus): 9 Diamond: 8 Gold (Plus): 7 Gold: 6 Silver (Plus): 5 Silver: 4 Bronze (Plus): 3 Bronze: 2 Copper: 2 Are We Required to Register our Staff for the Conference? Yes, we ask that a member of each firm s team complete our registration process via our online portal http://connect.mbaveterans.com While many of your team members registration is already included in each sponsorship, we need to know who they are so that we can identify them when they check in. Your team will receive an email notification requesting that a company representative login and complete the online registration form. Can We Bring More Staff than our Sponsorship Covers? If you d like to bring more guests than your Sponsorship level allots, that s perfectly fine. For any additional guests above your sponsorship level there is a $300 per guest charge and this allows access to all MBA Veteran Conference activities. Additional guest selections can be made via the online portal at http://connect.mbaveterans.com 9

Is there an Official Conference Hotel? Yes, the hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown. It is also the site for all Saturday activities (on-site interviews, breakout sessions). General Travel & Parking Information With the networking event and dinner at the DoubleTree, we recommend that ALL teams arrive in Nashville by 12:00 pm CST on Thursday, October 15 th and depart either Friday evening or Saturday, October 17 th after the completion of the UndergradU-VETS Conference (4 pm CST). However, if your team will not be interviewing candidates on Saturday, you can plan to leave on Friday around 6:30 pm. It will be a very rewarding, but busy day so it may be more comfortable to consider a Saturday departure. General Travel Information: http://mbaveterans.com/travel-and-parking Is there a Dress Code? It s completely your choice, but high-level business casual or general recruiting attire is recommended for corporate guests. It is important that students see you as a reflection of your firm s corporate culture so you will want your attire to be a reflection of typical attire for your firm. They will all be wearing suits. Tell Me More About the DoubleTree by Hilton Networking Event Who: Sponsors and Select Candidates When: Thursday, Oct. 15 th, 5:00 pm 7:00 pm Company reps may arrive beginning at 4:00 pm CST Where: DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville Silver & Above Sponsors are eligible to participate in the pre-conference networking event held at the DoubleTree by Hilton from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm the evening prior to the conference. Set-up for this portion of the event is available starting at 4:00 pm on Thursday, Oct. 15 th. It is highly recommended that your firm bring, at a minimum, a banner to identify your area in the room during the networking event. On Thursday, we request that any branding materials be carry-in, carry-out by your team. Again, similar to the Expo (see notes below) if your firm s recruiting guidelines call for additional branding then you are welcome to arrange your area accordingly (i.e. table throw, etc.). This event is organized by the MBA Veterans Network so the obligation of Silver & Above sponsors is minimal with the exception of providing a list of candidates (20-45) that we will extend invitations to on your behalf. 11

Bronze and Copper Sponsors may send 2 representatives to network with MBA Vets team and colleagues, have dinner, & check out the event, but will not have an active on-site recruiting presence. Is there a Dinner on Thursday? Who: All Sponsors When: Thursday, Oct. 15 th, 7:00 pm 9:00 pm Where: DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum Sponsors are eligible to participate in the Thursday evening dinner held at DoubleTree by Hilton from 7:00-9:00 pm. Companies are encouraged to invite students to join them for dinner (10 person round tables). It is recommended that at least 2 company reps participate in order to adequately engage with the student attendees. Bronze and Copper Sponsors may send 2 company representatives to the dinner, but your firms will not have a private table for networking with candidates. What is the Industry Panel Structure? Who: Various Sponsors When: Friday, October 16 th 12:45 pm 2:45 pm Where: DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville The following panels will be hosted at the Country Music Hall of Fame on Friday: Technology General Management Investment Banking 12

We reserve the right to structure panel participation based on the needs of the candidates and the conference structure allowing us to create the best overall event. While industry panels are a great branding opportunity, they are not included as part of the Sponsorship packages. With that being said, we only have spots for representatives from a maximum of 4 companies per panel. Generally speaking a strong industry presence is required to logistically support a panel (i.e. 3-4 firms form the same industry). Mock Interview Sessions (Gold and Above Sponsors) Who: Gold and Above Level Sponsors When: Thursday, October 15 th & Friday, October 16 th * Where: DoubleTree by Hilton and the Country Music Hall of Fame* *Reference the event schedule for specific time details Past sponsors have indicated that they d like us to offer more coaching opportunities to help maximize industry knowledge and interview preparation (especially for the first year students). This year, we will give you a chance to provide interview prep and coaching to attendees. This will help them with on-site interviews or at your offices, enhance your brand, and give you a shot at helping your top-candidates. There will be two levels of participation to this Presentation Leaders and Mock Interview Leaders. PRESENTATION LEADER: A great branding opportunity, your team will host a 45-minutes session with 60 attendees on How to Interview for X function/industry. Each session will focus on either the behavioral style or the case interview style. MOCK INTERVIEW LEADER: Your company has one reserved table with 8 candidates and 2 reps. During a 60-75 minute session after the how to case/behavioral interview session, you will conduct mock interviews with the candidates at your table. 13

How Can We Conduct On-Site Interviews? Who: All Sponsors When: Friday, October 16 th, All Day (8:00 am 6:30 pm) Where: Country Music Hall of Fame Who: All Sponsors (Limited Space Available) When: Saturday, October 17 th, Morning (8:00 am 12:00 pm) Where: DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville If you intend to interview candidates onsite either on Friday, October 15 th (All Day) or Saturday, October 17 th (8:00 am 12:00 pm), you will include your request for interview space as part of your guest registration process in the MBA Veterans Connect Platform. Each Sponsor will have one interview table. Additional tables, if needed, will be available at a cost of $295 per day, payable on MBA Veterans Connect. The time slot coordination with candidates for interviews is completely in your control. Once you receive access to the digital resume book, your team may begin scheduling interviews. Exact company interview booth locations will be published closer to the event. Complete your interview logistics requirements in MBA Veterans Connect. What Type of Branding and Conference Materials Should I Bring for the Expo? Additionally, any shipped conference material will be placed adjacent to your table the afternoon of Friday, October 15 th starting around 2:00 pm in order to setup your booth prior to start of the Expo. At 2:45 pm on Friday the Career Expo will commence in the Event Hall room at the Country Music Hall of Fame. This is where you will have your standard Expo display with a 6 foot table for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond Sponsors and two 6 foot tables for Platinum sponsors. You will want to ship material commonly used at career Expos. You are encouraged to bring your firm s table cloth and banner or a pop-up display (a 14

black table cloth will be provided by the venue). If you do bring giveaways, you may want to lean on the light side or focus on more professional items. However, if your firm has specific branding requirement then by all means follow them. Although, we will publish an Expo layout closer to the conference date, there is no need to be concerned now with the exact position of your table as this is a smaller event than most and all tables are easy to locate and labeled with your company name prior to set-up. Conference & Expo Supplies Shipment Details The 2015 MBA Veterans Conference will be utilizing two different venues throughout the duration of the conference. If you are participating in both the MBA Veterans and the UndergraduVETS Conference please follow these instructions: MBA Veterans Conference + UndergraduVETS Conference Sponsors Shipment Details MBA Veterans Conference Thursday (Oct. 15 th ) If your sponsorship is Silver or above and you will be participating at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville, we recommend that you bring any stand up banners or desired branding material with your luggage as all material for the Friday afternoon MBA Conference Expo will need to be shipped directly to the Country Music Hall of Fame. MBA Veterans Conference Friday (Oct. 16 th ) All sponsorship level should ship their conference materials directly to the Country Music Hall of Fame and anything shipped using this method will not be accessible for the conference on Thursday, October 15 th. UndergraduVETS Conference Saturday (Oct. 17 th ) At the conclusion of the MBA Veterans Conference Expo on Friday afternoon you will be provided with labels to annotate that your packages need to be delivered to the DoubleTree by Hilton for the UndergraduVETS event the following day on Saturday. The MBA Veterans Event Staff will then manage the transportation of your material to the DoubleTree. MBA Veterans Conference Only Sponsors Shipment Details If you are participating only in the MBA Veterans Conference please follow these instructions. They are the same instructions for sponsors who are attending both conferences with the exception that after the Expo on Friday the event materials will be sent to the shipping dock to be mailed on the next business day. MBA Veterans Conference Thursday (Oct. 15 th ) If your sponsorship is Silver or above and you will be participating at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Nashville, we recommend that you bring any stand up banners or desired branding material with your luggage as all material for the Friday afternoon MBA Conference Expo will need to be shipped directly to the Country Music Hall of Fame.
