Diploma Policies Fujita Health University Graduate School of Medicine confers degrees upon students who, predominantly during a four-year period, earn a specified number of credits, pass thesis defense as well as specified examinations, and demonstrate that they have acquired sufficient experience, skills, ability, and ethics as described below. 1. Experience and skills to conduct quality research as independent scientists 2. Ability to make contribution in international life science fields 3. Concrete knowledge of life sciences in medical fields. 4. Concrete understanding of humanism and professional ethics Curriculum Policies Based on the Curriculum Policies described below, Fujita Health University Graduate School of Medicine designs an appropriate curriculum for graduate courses. 1. Students attend desired laboratories to learn professional experience and research skills. Tutors with Ph.D. conduct personalized education through lectures and training courses. 2. Besides specialized education, comprehensive and/or cutting edge courses are developed. The university allows students to attend varied courses on their own initiative. 3. For foreign students or those Japanese students who wish to study overseas in the future, some courses are held in English on demand. 4. The university provides ethics education in each department as well as in interdisciplinary classes. We have graduate courses for regular students and working students, i.e., those working at hospitals, research or educational facilities, or companies. For convenience of working students, we hold classes and research guidance in the evenings, as well as on holidays and weekends. Application for the working student course must be accompanied with a consent document being issued from the current workplace. Students who fall under (1) or (2) may receive a partial waiver (500,000 yen) of the yearly tuition of 800,000 yen in the doctoral course. (1) Students who are enrolled as regular students. (2) Students who are enrolled as working students, and belong to basic science departments /laboratories. Note that students, who receive the partial waiver but later turn into other conditions, are asked to pay full tuition for the year. The full tuition will not be refunded. 2 Department Choice Prior to application, be sure that applicants contact professors at the desired departments/laboratories. Some fields may require Japanese medical license or completion history of Japanese postgraduate training courses. 3 Application Conditions Individuals who do not have Japanese citizenship, and who fulfil any of the criteria listed below in September 2018. 1) Individuals who completed or expect to complete 18 years of education in Japan or foreign countries, and possess a bachelor degree from a medical, dental, 6-year course of veterinary, or 6-year course of pharmacy school. 2) Individuals who completed or expect to complete 18 years of education in Japan or foreign countries, and possess or expect to receive a master s degree. 3) Individuals who demonstrate their ability being comparable to or higher than those in 1) and 2). 4 Application Period Start Date June 1, 2018 (Friday) Deadline June 12, 2018 (Tuesday)

In either case, documents that arrive after the deadline date will not be accepted. Applicants whose current names do not match those on the certificate of graduation or any other documents are required to submit an official certification for name change. Applicants who need special consideration for any physical disabilities need to inform us at application time.
When application forms are sent by post-mail, use registered mail. Application from foreign countries must be via air-mail. Write Application Forms for Enrollment to the Graduate School of Medicine (International Student) on the front side of the envelope using red color. After application is completed, application forms are not allowed to be changed. Examination fee will not be refunded for any reasons. 7 Examination Subjects and Methods Document review Skype Interview; for the interview appointment, contact professors at the desired departments/laboratories. 8 Announcement of Examination Results Successful application results will be posted between 2 pm on August 2 and 12 pm on August 9, 2018 on the website. Applicants may contact professors at the desired departments/laboratories for their results, but may not ask Graduate Student Affairs. 9 Enrollment Procedures Soon after each successful applicant receives notification of acceptance and enrollment guidance. Follow the direction of guidance. 10 School Fees Successful applicants must pay total fee by August 31th, 2018 (Friday). Working students in Clinical Other students Sciences Enrollment fee 150,000 yen 150,000 yen Tuition fee 800,000 yen 300,000 yen Total fee 950,000 yen 450,000 yen School fees will not be refunded for any reasons. Some foreign students may receive full or a partial waiver of school fees, living costs etc. from the Fujita Health University International Association Grant.
