WHAT IS MMPA? The University of Toronto s Master of Management & Professional Accounting program (MMPA) is the only program dedicated to developing both MBA and professional accounting knowledge and competencies in an integrated framework. The MMPA learning experience helps you to master analytical skills and caseoriented reasoning capacities, as well as technical knowledge and application skills. Research has shown that technical expertise will enhance your early career and MBA-developed analytical and reasoning skills will benefit your later career. The MMPA is designed to be the most time-concentrated, Master s level gateway to professional accounting and financial markets careers, particularly for students graduating from non-business programs. Advanced standing is available for business students. The MMPA program is accredited by CPA Ontario, allowing our graduates to move straight to the final module (Capstone 2) of the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) and then on to the CPA Common Final Exam (CFE).

Specifically, we prepare graduates to be: Managers with excellent decision-making skills, Assurance providers who offer audit and other assurance services as part of modern accountability processes, Consultants to management focusing on strategic positioning and performance, Advisors to individuals, and Entrepreneurs.
Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA) ADMISSION CRITERIA A four-year university degree Minimum of mid-b in last year GMAT score of at least 570, with an AWA score of 4.0, and verbal & quantitative score of 46%»» Outstanding students from North American Universities with exceptional CGPAs (i.e. cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher) may request a GMAT waiver»» The GMAT requirement will be waived for any applicant graduating from: one of the University of Toronto Mississauga s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program); the Rotman School s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program); or the University of Toronto Scarborough s BBA (Specialist in Management & Accounting Program) Evidence of leadership abilities English Proficiency (EP) test if required ADVANCED STANDING CONSIDERATIONS (24M stream) Eligible applicants can apply to enter the Program directly into the second term. Advanced standing is available to applicants who have completed essentially all of the required courses in the first academic term, obtaining a B- or higher, as part of a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree. Application deadlines are October 31, 2018 & January 31, 2019 Program begins each year in May (27 month) or September (24 month) TUITION FEES* FOR 2018 ENTRANTS Domestic Students Annual Tuition Fee $32,980 International Students Annual Tuition Fee $54,740 * Tuition Fees do not include Incidental fees or UHIP. Please refer to our website for further details. Domestic students include Canadian citizens and permanent residents. SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarships are available to both domestic and international students. Scholarships are awarded to eligible students who have completed their applications. The MMPA Program covers 6 or 7 terms, including 4 or 5 academic study terms and 2 co-op terms when the students work in an accounting environment. The Program is continually improved.
