November 1, 2016 Board of Education County of Cabell Huntington, West Virginia Board Members: The following items are offered for your consideration at the regular meeting of the Board of Education of the County of Cabell scheduled for Tuesday evening, November 1, 2016, at 5:30 p.m., at Central City Elementary School, 2100 Washington Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia. This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the County School System s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated in agenda item, Delegations to be Heard. The L.S.I.C. from Central City Elementary, Highlawn Elementary, Spring Hill Elementary schools, and Explorer Academy will meet with the Board at 4:00 p.m., prior to the regular meeting. 1000. BOARD MEETING MINUTES Minutes of October 18, 2016 (Regular Meeting) are being presented for approval. 2083. SCHOOL TRIP REQUEST HUNTINGTON HIGH SCHOOL The Superintendent recommends approval of Huntington High School s trip request for the Speech & Debate Team to travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky, on December 8-11, 2016, to participate in a Speech & Debate Tournament. One (1) day of school will be missed and thirty-four (34) students along with five (5) chaperones including one employee will be on this trip. Transportation will be provided by the chaperones. MEAL SUPERVISION AGREEMENT CONTRACTS 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR The Superintendent recommends approval for the following Meal Supervision Agreement Contracts. School employees may either receive reimbursement for meal supervision or elect to receive a meal in lieu of pay. SCHOOL MEAL REIMBURSEMENT Milton Elementary Elizabeth McQuaide-Parlock 2088. PURCHASE OF TWO FILE SERVERS The Superintendent recommends approval for the purchase of two file servers. One for Nichols Elementary and the second one for Ona Elementary at a cost of $12,832.00 each. The servers will be purchased from ncompass Networks, our contracted preferred technology vendor established by bid. The total cost will be $25,664.00 and will come from Step 7-Part B funding. INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN CABELL COUNTY SCHOOLS TITLE I PART D PROGRAM AND RIVER PARK HOSPITAL The Superintendent recommends approval of an interagency agreement with River Park Hospital to provide 2017 Title I Part D program resources to support the education of neglected and delinquent students while being treated as patients at River Park Hospital. ($17,700) 2090.
