Collens Godlisten Lymo My name is Collens. I was born 7/7/2002. I am a boy. I live with my mother in Moshono. I have five siblings: Celvin (20), Joseph (19), Assia (17), Pendo (17) and Amanda (16), they all left the house. My mom helps other people with daily jobs, that s how she earns money. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. In the morning I wake up and go to school. When I get home from school, I help my mom with cleaning the house, washing the clothes, fetching water. Sometimes I help my mom with the cooking. Afterwards I do my homework and read a little. Then I go to bed. On Sundays, I can play with my friends. I like to play football! I like to come to Baraa, because the teachers teach well. I also have access to books, and I love to read. I want to go to college, so I can be an accountant for a bank. Because I can earn a lot of money and I don t have to worry about that anymore.
Debora Adamu Kimaro My name is Debora. I am born 24/4/2003. I live with my grandmother in Moshono. I have one sister (Sporah, 15), who lives with my grandmother and me, and two brothers (Godbless, 4 years and Goodlucky, 5 months old) who live with my mother. My grandmother doesn t work, my uncle sends us money. My mother left my father for another men, and my father didn t want to take care of me. I don t see my mother, father or brothers anymore. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. I wake up very early, have breakfast and dress for school. Then I walk to school for 20 min. When I get home from school, I wash the clothes, do the dishes, collect firewood Sometimes I help to prepare dinner. Afterwards we eat, I do my homework and I go to sleep. I have no friends in the neighbourhood, because I have no time for that. I like to do maths, I was the first of my class for the big test! I like Baraa because it s a good environment, the teachers teach well, we have desks and computers and we get food. I like the toilets, they re very clean. I want to go to college, so I can be an accountant. Then I ll be able to earn a lot of money.
Dickson Hamadi Hando My name is Dickson I was born in june 2001. I am a boy. I live with my mother in Moivaro. I have one sister, Loveness (7). My mom digs on the acres of farmers, that s how she gets money. My dad passed away, when I was a very young. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. I wake up in the morning and eat some breakfast. Then I walk to school for 30 min. When I get home from school, I help with home activities, like washing, cooking, cleaning. Then my mom gets home and we eat together. Then I prepare everything for school (ironing, homework, ). Then I go to bed. I like Baraa because it s a nice school and everything a student needs is there. My best friend is Innocent, and I m happy to see him at school. I want to a soldier, I like the military because I like the training. I love climbing, running, crawling... I like adventure. I think the marching is very spectacular. I want to defend my country.
Editha Saitabau Kipuyo My name is Editha. I was born 9/9/2001. I live with my mother in Kwa Mrefu. I have 5 siblings: Kesia (35), Gladness (+30), Amani (+20), Mary (27) and Winfrida (19). My mom makes peanut butter, which is bought by people from Moshi. My dad left us, when I was a baby. I don t see him anymore. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. I wake up and wash myself. Then I have breakfast and walk to school for 40 min. When I come home from school, I cook, wash and do the dishes. Before I go to bed, I make my homework and read a little. I like Baraa because the teachers know a lot and the environment is very good. Miriam is my best I would like to be a lawyer, because I earn a lot of money and don t have to worry about that anymore.
Elias Julias Mbesa My name is Elias. I was born in 2002. I am a boy. I live with my grandmother, she sells vegetables in the Tengeru market every Saturday. I have one brother Baraka and one sister, Luciana, who live with us. My mom left us, together with one of my sisters. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. After I get up, I cook some breakfast and after having breakfast, I dress and go to school. It s a 15 minute walk. After I get home from school, I clean the house and do the washing. I also fetch grass for the cow. After dinner, I do my homework and go to bed. I like to play football with my friends at school and in the weekend. I like to learn about biology, mathematics and English. I want to be a docter, I like to help and nurse people. I like to take care of people.
Florida Godson Mollel My name is Florida. I was born 31/07/2002. I live with my mother in Sorenyi. I have one sister, Rita (16) and two brothers, Lazaro (12) and Ibrahim (8). My mom sells vegetables. My dad passed away, he had a car accident. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. When I get up in the morning, I get ready and go to school. When I come back from school, I study. In the weekends I help my mom with cleaning and washing. In the weekends I have some time to play with my friends. Most of the time we play Rede (a sort of softball-game for girls). What I like about Baraa are the lessons and in the afternoon I sometimes follow arts. I would like to be a teacher, so I can help children. And I really like hanging out with children.
Gerald Memiri Laizer My name is Gerald. I was born 20/11/2002. I am a boy. I live with my uncle and my nephew in Baraa Ward. My uncle works as a driver. My mother passed away and my dad lives in Giro. Sometimes he visits me in school, never at home. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. My mom was very ill for a long time. Since my mom passed away, I have lived with my uncle. After school, I wash my clothes and study. In the weekend I help my uncle with daily labors. In my free time, I like to play football with my friends. What I like about Baraa is I like to study, I love science! I also like it to play football with my friends in the break. I want to go to collega and study medicine (because I love science) so I can be a doctor. I also like to take care of people who are ill.
Gifti Morao Laizer My name is Gifti. I was born 12/02/2002. I live with my grandmother in Kwamrefu. She sells maize. I have two sisters, Sharon (4) and Vivian (10). I don t know where my mom lives. Sometimes she visits me. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. When I get home from school, I wash my clothes, clean the house and cook dinner. If I get free time during the weekend I play Rede (a sort of softballgame for girls). What I like about Baraa is the environment (very good toilets, a nice building ). I like Kiswahili and I love the extra curriculum drum and dancing! I want to be a teacher, because I like the way the teachers in Baraa teach. I also like playing with children.
Godliver Lazaro Masawe My name is Godliver. I was born 15/09/2001. I live with my mother in Moshono. I have one brother, Prince Mucki (4) and Prisca Mucki (3). My mom cleans other people s clothes for a living. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. In the morning I go to school. Afterwards I have to cook, clean the house and fetch water. I have no time to study in the week. On Saturday I go to school. On Sunday I study and go to church to pray. What I like about Baraa is that I get time to study. My favorite subjects are mathematics and science. I want to go to college where I can learn to be a pilot. I would like to fly for important people and bring them to other countries when they have a meeting.

My mom washes other people s clothes. I go to school in Baraa Primary School, in Arusha, where I am in standard 7. In the morning I go to school. Afterwards I help with cleaning and washing. After dinner I study for school. In the weekends I also clean and wash and when this is ready, I get time to play. I love rope skipping and playing Rede (a sort of softball-game for girls). What I like about Baraa is the way the teachers educate us. I like to learn about science, Kiswahili and maths. When I see how they educate in Baraa, I would like to be a teacher. I also like to be around children.

When I get back from school, I clean the house and fetch firewood. Then I eat with my family and work for school. In the weekends I clean and make breakfast. I also try to study. When I have time off, I go and play football or rope skipping with my friends. I like Baraa because we get computer lessons. We also have the opportunity to play basketball, volleyball and football. I like mathematics and science. I want to go to college, so I can be an engineer. Because I am very good in mathematics.
