Definitions and Clarifications Extended Essay Rough draft On an A4 sheet the student writes down and gives to the Supervisor: - the intended structure of the essay (could be in the form of a possible table of contents) - sources ( primary and the secondary he/she can mention at this stage) - an introduction in running text (why the chosen topic is worthy of study, some background information, a clearly stated research question) Check up after the summer holiday handing in of a considerable amount of running text with parenthetical references or footnotes and a tentative bibliography at the end on the first day of school in IB3 to IB Coordinator who will forward it to your supervisor.
