Contact Details Ph: 39080333 Fax: 38902972 Student Absence: 39080366 Email: Admin@murarriess.eq.edu,au Facebook: facebook.com/murarriess School Watch: 13 17 88 Police Link: 131 444 01/09/17 Dear Parents/Guardians, Uniform Please find attached the uniform policy for our school. Maintaining a consistent, neat uniform does a lot for our school. It not only looks great when everyone is in uniform together, it instils a sense of pride amongst the students. Points of focus currently are the wearing of the formal shirt Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and the sports shirt on Thursdays, as well as plain black shoes. Students should not be bringing other items such as caps etc. to replace the school hat. Uniform reminders will be sent home over the next few weeks. The Tuckshop currently has good stocks if replacement items need to be purchased. Review Over the past 18 months, Murarrie has been under a review phase with the School Improvement Unit (SIU). Two weeks ago, the SIU completed it s most recent check in. It was deemed that Murarrie had progressed significantly in that time in regards to curriculum processes and practices in particular with reading. The outcome of the SIU s report was that they were happy to step aside and Murarrie to continue on without the need for additional support. This is a credit to the staff of the school who have been working extremely hard, ultimately to improve the educational outcomes for each of our students. Teacher Aides Day Today is Teacher Aide Day. We have the most incredible Teacher Aides here that regularly go over and above for the students of our school. Monday we will have a morning tea for them, but please take the time to thank them for all the wonderful things they do. Can you help?? Can you help us with our community garden??? Our garden has stalled a little lately and we need some help and some experience to get it up and going? If you, or anyone you know could assist with getting it going again, please contact the school! Have a great week! Ben Turner Principal BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY!Our Breakfast Club runs out of the tuckshop every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
