January-April 2019 OSU Extension Classes The 30th annual Seeds of Spring Educational Seminar will be held at the Grants Pass campus of Rogue Community College on March 16th. There will be four sessions with a choice of approximately 39 classes from which to choose from. Registration will open on January 7th and close on March 8th. The cost for this event is $35.00. Lunch is available for an extra $10.00. Contact Rogue Community College at 541-956-7303 for registration Registrations will be accepted by Mail, Phone or in Person at RCC. This year, the Master Gardener annual plant sale will be held on the weekend of Saturday, May 4th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, May 5th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the OSU Extension Josephine County Office site on 215 Ringuette Street, Grants Pass. There will be annual and perennial plants for sale that were cultivated by Master Gardener students, as well as a selection of trees and shrubs. Jackson County Who Should Attend Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co -management of natural resources and food safety. The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in 112.22(c) that requires At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.
