KALAANGANA 2014 KALAANGANA 2014 was inaugurated by Sr J. P. Gadkari, Secretary, KPAMRC on 3rd Dec 2014. Sri Gadkari was Conferred with "LIFE TIME CONTRIBUTION AWARD" by DGN Rtn Ananth, President Rtn Shivaram A.R and Inner wheel President Madhavi. Day 1 started with Painting/Drawing Competition and display of talent and performance. Day 2, 4th Dec 2014 at KALAANGANA 2014 was fun filled with ART, DANCE AND MUSIC Performances by special children from all the schools participating lively on the stage. Hundreds of Children participated in different competitions with zeal and enthusiasm. Day 3, 5th Dec 2014 - the Valedictory Function at KALAANGANA 2014 was a great success. First half was for Solo and Group Singing and Instrument performances by special children followed by Valedictory Ceremony in the afternoon. Invocation song was sung by Akhil. Lamp was lit by our Padmasri Gowri Shankar CEO of Sringeri Sharada Mutt, Chief Guest Lion P.R.S Chethan - Chief warden Civil Defence Corps, our DG Rtn Manjunath Shetty, Inner Wheel Chairman Mrs Malvika Krishnamurthy, and President Rtn Shivaram A.R. Chief Warden Lion Chethan spoke to the Audiences about Special Children and he abbreviated word DISABLED CHILDREN as GODSABLED Children by just adding GO in the first and replacing I letter. These children are like GOD as they never do Bad or Harm anybody in their life. DG Rtn Manjunath Shetty Spoke to the audience and said Special children are no were less than normal children and they take little more time to pick up in their capabilities, he also gave an example of a person called Robert whose wish came true because of his dedication and Hard work. Award ceremony started and all our Dignitaries Padmasri Gowrishankar,Lion Chethan,DG Rtn Manjunath Shetty,Inner wheel president Mrs Malivika Krishnamurthy,Professor Vijay from City College whose students were Volunteers, Mr Deepak Jain from Kwality foods - one the sponsorer of this event and our President Rtn Shivaram A.R gave Prizes to the children for all the children who performed in this 3 day Event. Thanks to our P.P Rtn Ramesh V.R and Team IRC who stood all the 3 days and conducted this Wonderful event. Team Rotary Bangalore West, Team Inner Wheel West, PMI, The Sponsors, The Caterers, Crew of Shankara TV., Press and Media and Sringeri Sharada Mutt for making the event a grand success.

RBW DRAMA HENGAS KATRI This year too we had a very good response to our RBW Drama with jam packed audience in our auditorium. This time over we had Inner wheel members joining us on the stage. It was a flawless performance by al. We got to see great direction by Rtn. Gururaja Rao and excellent dialogue delivery by all the actors. Audience enjoyed every moment of the performance and excellent rendering of the songs by the Inner Wheel members. The Welcome dance and the ones that followed were done very elegantly. Congratulations to Rtn. Gururaja Rao and Actress Anu Prabhakar and all the drama actors for making the Sunday Evening a memorable one. WHEELS CHAIRS TO PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED Photographs showing Distibution of wheel chairs by Vasavi Club in association with Margadarshi and Canadia Trust. RBW is also part of this continuous Project and we will have similar Programme shortly. This is first Phase where 14 Physically challenged people were given wheel chairs. CONGRATS From our Club P.P Rtn G.R.V, Rtn Srikanth Parthsarthy and Rtn Sudheendra Bhandare and Secretary Rtn Raghunandan were present. Congratulation to IPDG Rtn Nagendra K.S for his achievement in his Rotary year 2013-14 and also winning the following awards at Zonal level. In the Zonal Awards (Zone 5) our district bagged Six Awards under Rotary Foundation and One under Membership Development.
