The regular meeting of the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education was held in the Board Room of the Administration Office, 317 North Market Street, Lisbon, Ohio 44432 at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November12, 2014. The meeting was called to order by the President, James Smith. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Smith. The following members were present: Mr. Eugene Gallo, Mrs. Martina Grimm, Mr. TK Hiscox, Mr. Gary Peruchetti, and Mr. James Smith The minutes of the Meeting, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 were approved following a motion by Mr. Hiscox and a second by Mr. Gallo. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Gallo, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. Smith. Abstain - Mrs. Grimm. Nays none. The AGENDA ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, CORRECTIONS: None CORRESPONDENCE Mr. Siefke presented the Board the Eastern Ohio Education Partnership Award. A statue in recognition of receiving an A in Value Added. RECEPTION OF VISITORS Adyson Andric, Vickie Browning-Prowitt, Keith Edenfield, Kadynce Gordon, Julie Hilliard, Dan Kemats, Rev. Greg Pennington, Heidi Swift, Jacob Walgate, & Katie White. REPORT TO THE BOARD Mrs. Julie Hilliard presented the Yoga (Stability) Balls Program that she researched and found that there are several positives in the learning process. The McKinley PTO purchased 20 balls for the classroom. Two students were present to explain what they liked about the balls. A video was played showing her students reaction. TREASURER S REPORT APPROVAL OF TREASURER S FINANCIAL REPORT 14-11-12 Board of Education approved the financial report of the treasurer. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The APPROVAL OF LISTED BILLS 14-11-12 Following a motion by Mr. Peruchetti and a second by Mr. Hiscox, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education approved payment of the listed bills. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Peruchetti, Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The RENEWAL OF TREASURER S BOND POLICY 14-11-12-0196 Following a motion by Mr. Peruchetti and a second by Mr. Hiscox, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education approved a resolution authorizing the renewal of the Treasurer s Position Bond Policy in the amount of $50,000 for the period of January 1, 2015 January 1, 2016 at a premium cost of $187.50. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Peruchetti, Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The president declared the motion carried. SECTION 125 FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN 14-11-12-0197 Board of Education approved the enclosed Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plan Adoption Agreement with effective date of all amendments January 1, 2015 administered through American Fidelity Assurance Company. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The president declared the motion carried.

DATE OF NEXT REGULAR MEETING 14-11-12 The date of the next regular meeting will be Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room located at 317 N. Market St., Lisbon, OH 44432. ADDITIONAL MINUTES TO BUS ROUTE D 14-11-12-0207 Following a motion by Mr. Hiscox and a second by Mr. Peruchetti, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education accepted the recommendation of adding an additional 45 minutes per day for a separate run to the Career Center to be added to the Route D. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Peruchetti, Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The CERTIFIED CONTINUING CONTRACT 14-11-12-0208 Board of Education issued a continuing certified contract for Mary Matthews effective for the 2014-15 School Year. On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. ADD AND/OR AMENDMENT TO AN ADMINISTRACTIVE CONTRACT 14-11-12-0209 Village Board of Education added and/or amended the enclosed provisions to Jacob M. Walgate s employment contract effective. On roll call the vote was: Ayes - Mr. Peruchetti, Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Hiscox, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The RETIREMENTS 14-11-12-0210 Following a motion by Mr. Gallo and a second by Mr. Hiscox, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education accepted the following certificated staff resignations at this time for the purpose of avoiding OTES (Ohio Teacher Evaluation System) evaluation changes in requirements for this school year: Lee A. Bell 2 nd Grade Teacher Suzan Sterling 3 rd Grade Teacher James Tsilimos Career Based Intervention Teacher On roll call the vote was: Ayes Mr. Gallo, Mr. Hiscox, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. CERTIFIED PART TIME CONTRACT 14-11-12-0211 Following a motion by Mr. Hiscox and a second by Mr. Gallo, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education issued a one year certified part time contract to Kristyn M. Singleton effective November 17, 2014 through May 15, 2015 at a cost of $160.00 per day. On roll call the vote was: Ayes - Mr. Hiscox, Mr. Gallo, Mrs. Grimm, Mr. Peruchetti, and Mr. Smith. Nays none. The SUPERINTENDENT S REPORT Mr. Edenfield Nov. 1 was the Fall Sports Breakfast A special program for area veterans was presented November 11 - headed by Tom Zeck Parent Teacher Conferences to be held November 13. Two Hundred Sixty-two students at the jr/sr high school will be attending an honors recognition cookout. Several other activities were listed for the month of November. Mr. Walgate Closing up the Fall Sports Season November 20 with the Fall Awards Program Mr. Kemats Held the Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at McKinley November 11 presented by the 5 th Grade Class End of the 9 weeks grading period was October 24. PTO will receive 15% of the food served at Italos November 14. Informed the Board of the Mini Grants through Turning Technologies which were awarded to two staff members at McKinley Elementary Both Grants were for intervention materials Teachers participated in Donor Choose website for additional materials 2 teachers at McKinley have received a grant.

Discussed change in the D.A.R.E. Program in the building. Mr. Siefke Will attend 1 st PTO Meeting of Career by invitation Attended staff meetings and discussed report card results. Applied for waiver day December 1 which will be dealing with the new parcc assessments FIP models and STRS will have presentations. ADJOURNMENT 14-11-12 Following a motion by Mr. Gallo and a second by Mr. Hiscox, the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education moved to adjourn.
