In this clay and mixed media art class for elementary students focuses on hand building and sculpture and imaginative play. Our pottery class is a combination of Art History meets pottery. Children will learn about different countries and create that country s famous ceramic art. The projects are cultural, creative and fun! In this Winter season, students will learn about Japanese monkeys in hot springs, Russian nesting dolls, Chinese dragons, Winter Forest tape art and Rock art on canvas. Stonegate Chess and Robotics Clubs Sponsored by the Stonegate Elementary PTA Chess Club is taught by experienced Silver Knights instructors using a curriculum developed by National Masters. Each weekly session is a mix of learning and play. Playing chess is a great way to develop a child s critical thinking skills, sportsmanship, and patience all while having fun! Chess Club Details: All grades and skill levels welcome. All equipment provided. Dates: Club meets every Wednesday that school is in session starting on 1/16/19 and ending on 3/6/19.
