DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL -DWARKA Admission Process to Class XI [2016-2017] (For External Candidates only) Further to the interview held on Sunday, 05 June 2016 for admission to Class XI (Science/Commerce/Humanities stream) as Day Scholar/Hosteller, the list of selected/waitlist applicants for admission is appended below. Selected applicants are required to complete the admission process as per the schedule appended below:- Stream Category Day/Date/Time Science/Commerce/Humanities Hostellers 07 June 2016 to 09 June 2016 09.30 am 12.00 noon Commerce and Humanities Day Scholars 08 June 2016 09.30 am 10.30 noon Science (Medical) Day Scholars 08 June 2016 10.30 am 12.00 noon Science (Non-Medical) Day Scholar 09 June 2016 09.30 am 12.00 noon Fee Details (Applicable for General category students only) School Fee schedule (for both Day scholars and Hostellers) after admission has been granted: - A demand draft for Rs. 64,000/- (Rupees Sixty four thousand only) in favour of Delhi Public School. Dwarka payable at New Delhi is to be submitted at the time of admission and the balance amount will be paid in equal installments. Hostel Fee schedule (Only for Hostellers):- A separate demand draft of Rs. 1,69, 000/- (Rupees One Lac Sixty nine thousand only) to be submitted in favour of Delhi Public School Dwarka Hostel payable at New Delhi towards the hostel fee for the year 2016-2017. The balance amount will be paid in equal installments. (downloadable) Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective zone. (to be submitted after the completion of admission process) General Instructions Seats in the school hostel are limited and will be granted only to meritorious students. Once admission is granted to the hostel, students will not be permitted to withdraw during the course of the academic session 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. No refund will be made during the mid-session.

The school provides the transport facilities, but there is no guarantee that a seat in the school bus will be made available if buses are full to the capacity or do not ply in the area of residence. Transport once provided will not be discontinued during the academic session. Any claim for the admission from the candidate will stand cancelled, if the candidate fails to follow the schedule mentioned without prior intimation and permission of the Principal. Registration of the candidate does not ensure admission. All decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding Regular classes will begin for all students of class XI with effect from Friday, 01 July 2016 (Day scholars and Hostellers) The school will not entertain any request for change of stream after selection of admission. An authority letter from the parent giving details of two persons from different families who will act as the local guardian indicating their names, address, phone numbers, e-mail address along with photographs. A health certificate regarding medical history etc must be duly checked and signed by the Registered Medical Officer, parents and the student. If a student is allergic to any medicine or has a special medical history, please mention it in the medical certificate.

School/hostel uniform requirements must be met by the parents. A list of articles of clothing and other items are mentioned in the Hostel Rules booklet. A letter of indemnity against any damage, sickness, accident etc caused in the course of normal functioning of the school. It is obligatory for the parents/local guardians to attend PTA meetings (PTA schedule is mentioned in the School Almanac) Parents/Local guardians are required to leave their telephone number and address in Delhi, for immediate contact, in case of any emergency. Both the local guardians should be present at the time of admission and reporting to the hostel. The No. of photographs as mentioned below must be submitted by the hostellers as part of the admission formalities. Student 4 copies, Local Guardian 4 copies, Father & Mother 4 copies of each Kindly note that:- 1. All candidates selected for hostel accommodation will have to undergo a medical checkup by the school Doctor. 2. The selected hostel students will report to the hostel between Wednesday, 29 June 2016 and Thursday, 30 June 2016 They must bring their personal clothing and all other essential items as per the hostel rules, 3. The Principal will address the hostellers on Friday, 01 July 2016 at 07.00 a.m. Guardians are requested to attend. 4. It is mandatory for the local guardians to take the complete responsibility for his/her ward in time of sickness/emergency/week-ends/holidays and travel etc. 5. Only married couples living in a family set-up with telephone facilities will be allowed to act as local guardians.
