Larry Greenberg (professor) Cornell University (Fish and stream ecology) Department of Biology, Karlstad University Larry: the quality of health care is good and affordable for all, there is no tuition for those that want to attend college, parents are entitled to one year of paid maternal/paternal leave, and seven weeks of vacation leave is very generous.

Stephen Strom (professor) Previously University of Pittsburgh and Duke Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Karolinska Institutet University I moved here to help start the first liver cell transplant program in Scandinavia. Sweden offers excellent opportunities for novel regenerative medicine technology and cellular therapies because of the access to world-class basic research and clinical collaborators, the state-ofthe-art facilities, and the open minds of the regulatory authorities, the funding agencies and the Swedish people to these novel therapies.

Virginia Langum Postdoctoral Fellow 2011-2013, Languages Department, Umeå University, MS from Columbia Univ, NY I have been working as an academic researcher in Sweden since 2011 after finishing my PhD. I have been delighted with the opportunities to research in creative and dynamic environments while also developing my pedagogical skills. I look forward to continuing my career here.
