Pathways TAFE SA offers clear pathways and generous credit arrangements thanks to its strong connections with the of South Australia. Successful completion of a TAFE SA Diploma usually provides up to one year credit for university study and an Advanced Diploma usually provides up to a year and a half credit. CRICOS Provider Number: 00121B Packaged Offers International students can now apply to TAFE SA for a packaged offer with a local university as TAFE SA is an approved Education Business Partner of the of South Australia under the Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) arrangements. Packaged offers provide successful applicants with a joint offer in a TAFE SA program and a nominated program. On receipt of the Confirmation of Enrolments (COEs), international students can apply for a student visa through the SVP system for the total duration of both programs. These applications will generally have reduced evidentiary requirements, similar to those that apply under Assessment Level 1, regardless of the country of origin. A packaged university offer means that on successful completion of their TAFE SA program, students will have guaranteed entry to and will receive credit toward their nominated program*. English Language Study TAFE SA offers a range of English Language courses suitable for students planning to undertake study at undergraduate or postgraduate level. With experienced teachers, intensive small group teaching and ongoing student support, students gain the right English Language skills to ensure success. TAFE SA English Language Courses Course Entry Outcome General English 5-40 weeks From Elementary to Upper Intermediate English language level. Successful completion provides a pathway to English for Academic Purposes 20 English for Academic Purposes 20 (EAP 20)* 20 weeks or 10 weeks IELTS 5.0 for 20 week course or 5.5 for 10 week course or entry through an internal entry test conducted within the General English course (only for students studying General English). Students, who gain a credit grade, can gain entry to a range of undergraduate programs at the of South Australia with entry criteria of IELTS 6.0 overall. Students develop the English language skills needed for successful academic study including lecture note taking, presentation and group discussion skills and planning essays and assignments. Students are introduced to vocabulary specific to their chosen study field. The course will expose students to a -style learning environment including research tasks, group presentations, tutorials and seminars. Students attend lectures, meet Academic and university staff and go on familiarisation tours of a campus ensuring that they are ready for their career. English Language Course OFFER Study selected ELICOS courses with TAFE SA International in second semester 2015 and first semester 2016 and receive the special price of A$320 per week* (normally A$350 per week). *(conditions apply) English Language Course Offer Conditions New and current applicants only. Applicants with an outstanding Letter of Offer will be eligible. Applies to commencement in Semester 2, 2015 and/or Semester 1, 2016. Minimum 10 (within the one semester) to maximum 40 weeks duration. Unless required earlier due to the course start date, applications must be received by 1 April 2016. Unless required earlier due to the course start date, no payments or enrolment will be accepted (for study) after 29 April 2016. Applicants/students that need to defer their enrolment after Semester 1, 2016 will be required to pay the full published fee of A$350 per week, unless otherwise advised. Students who defer their unaccepted offer from an earlier semester will not receive the special price. Students who defer their accepted offer/coe from an earlier semester (at $350) will not receive the special price. Any student commencing their English course in either Semester 2, 2015 and/or Semester 1, 2016, will continue to receive the discount rate should their English courses continue beyond the price promotion period. Students who withdraw and re-apply will not be eligible for the discount rate. The normal TAFE SA International Student Refund Policy applies.
