Bayside High School S.A.L.T STUDENT ACTION LEADERSHIP TEAM EXPECTATIONS Thank you for your interest in S.A.L.T, the student led group within the Bayside High School ministry. We want students who are passionate about serving Christ and their peers by using their God-given gifts and talents in a variety of different settings. Please read the following application, answer the questions, and turn it in to a Bayside High School staff member. I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and live by faith, following His example and His commands in the Bible. TIME COMMITMENT Time Commitment: S.A.L.T this year will be a semester long commitment with an option to re-apply or apply at semester break. We understand that seasons change, sports stop or start, and school loads change. We want to give you the opportunity to be ALL IN. S.A.L.T this semester time commitment will be September 8 th December 23 rd (Dec. 14-23 rd serving at 2-3 Bayside Christmas Services) 1. Trainings: Every Sunday from 5-6:30pm, Room 418, September 9 th -December 2 nd (Nov. 18 th OFF for Thanksgiving) September 9 th, 16 th, 23 rd, and 30 th October 7 th, 14 th, 21 st, and 28 th November 4 th, 11 th, and 25 th December 2 nd 2. Wednesday Night Services: You will be placed on a team that will serve EVERY OTHER Wednesday night (twice a month). Ministry Teams will be announced at our first Sunday night training, September 9 th. 3. Weekend Services: Student Leaders are required to attend the 9:45am service each week with our Bayside High School Group. Additionally, they must choose to serve in one of our Bayside Church weekend ministries two weekends a month with any approved ministry (i.e. Middle School, Children s, Greeting Team, Road Warriors, etc.).

Ministry Team Descriptions 1) First Face and Follow Up Team a) Welcome people on Wednesday night with a warm greeting and talking with them. b) Assist our check-in volunteer team and set the atmosphere for the night. c) Do anything that helps people feel at home and welcome. d) Get visitor cards and make sure that all new people are re-invited the next day. e) Knowing/Caring for all adults and students in our ministry. This includes: calling and texting students weekly, promoting birthday celebrations, organizing praise and prayer requests, creatively encouraging small group leaders, and following up with thank you cards. 2) Look and Feel Team a) Building and creating the space. b) Set up for Wednesday nights / events. c) Clean up after events. d) Organize snacks / refreshments. e) Owning pre and post-service hang (games, activities, etc.) 3) Communications Team a) Organize, mark, and store all slides. Announcements. Create message notes. b) Photography make sure ALL our people are included, not just the popular or photogenic ones. Everyone is important in God s family! c) Sharing stories from students and leaders d) Prepare posts for social. Videography. e) Work hand-in-hand with our Bayside Production Team on Wednesday nights f) Help make service happen behind the scenes with video, sound, camera, lights, etc. CAPTAINS SENIORS ONLY a) Own your high school campus. b) Lead your fellow leaders. c) First one in and Last one out. d) Directly responsible for leading a S.A.L.T. team *If you re a senior and want to apply to be a SALT Captain, please submit a one-page response as to why you want to be a Team Captain and what you want to see God do through our Bayside High School Ministry this year.
