WHITE HALL SCHOOL DISTRICT MINUTES OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING REGULAR MEETING Administration Building Tuesday PRESENT ABSENT Roy Agee, Secretary Rebecca Pittillo Dr. Doug Coleman Dr. Raymond Jones Connie Medsker Scott Ray, Vice President Stacey, DonJinna Dr. Larry Smith, Superintendent The White Hall School Board met in regular meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with all members present except Rebecca Pittillo. Mr. Agee opened the meeting with prayer, and Dr. Coleman led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Mr. Ray moved and Mr. Agee seconded to approve the consent agenda as presented: Approval of Minutes- September 8 th Regular Meeting Facility Use Requests: Facility use request from Dolphins Football Team(WHYFL) Through the first week-end of Nov, 2015, Wes Brandon, contact person. Facility use request from (WHYFL) Oct. 17, 2015. For Moody Annex Fundraiser Dance 6-10pm Tanya Jones, Contact person. Approval of Claims Approval of 2015-2016 Parent Involvement Plan. Approval of ASCIP Plan for 2015-16 School Year. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Ray moved and Mrs. Stacey seconded to retain Dr. Raymond Jones as School Board President for the 2015-16 school year. Motion carried unanimously. Dr. Doug Coleman nominated Scott Ray for Vice President and Rebecca Pittillo for School Board Secretary seconded by Mr. Agee. Motion carried unanimously. 2015-16 School Board Officers: Dr. Raymond Jones President Scott Ray Vice-President Rebecca Pittillo Secretary All remaining Board members will serve on the following District committees. To be announced at the November 2015 School Board meeting.

District Curriculum Mr. Agee moved and Mrs. Medsker seconded to approve changes to Board policies 3.2, 4.4, and 7.5 as presented. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Ray moved and Mr. Agee seconded to approve the proposal from POWERS as presented to add additional heating capacity to White Hall High School cafeteria and media centers at a cost of $13,977.00 for cafeteria and $16, 224.00 for the media center, and $9,518.00 for the computer lab and that the cost be paid from the District building fund. Motion carried unanimously. Dr. Coleman moved and Mrs. Medsker seconded to approve the one time salary payment to certified employees in the amount of $1,000.00 and a one-time salary payment to classified employees in the amount of $650.00 who are contracted on and that the amount is paid from the District Building Fund. Mr. Agee further moved and Mrs. Medsker seconded, that employee who qualifies for both certified and classified status is given a payment only in the higher of the two amounts. Motion carried unanimously Mr. Ray moved and Mr. Agee seconded to accept the highest bus bid from M. McDeal for $1,750.00 for bus #3 and from Mr. Pickens in the amount of $3,000.00 for bus #32. Motion carried unanimously. Dorothy Welch, Asst. Superintendent, gave the School District s 2015 Annual Report to the Public as required by law and state standards. She delivered to each Board Member and Media reports that covered the following items: Each District Elementary presented their Report to the Public during their Meet & Greet Orientation Day. Both secondary schools presented their Report to the Public during their PTO Open House Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the District Goals, Accreditation Status, and Proposal to correct Deficiencies. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public Ethnicity by District and by Campus. Mrs. Welch announced the 2015 White Hall Teacher of the Year-Susie Maynard. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the results of the 2015 Awards Assembly Program for the 232 graduating seniors. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the District Mandated Instructional Days.

TESS & LEADS Training 4. Active Shooter and Bully Training 5. ACSIP New Software Program Training 6. State Mandated Test Training 7. Ethics Training Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public 2015-2016 Textbooks cost Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the 2015-16 Special Education Program Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the 2015-26 District Child Nutrition Report. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the White Hall High School New Courses, Concurrent Credit Courses, and AP Courses. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the Board with School Choice totals by grade and campus. Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public the Board the District Ethnicity Percentages Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and Public White Hall School Districts Accreditation Status by District and each campus: 1. White Hall School District Fully Accredited 2. White Hall High School Fully Accredited 3. White Hall Middle School Fully Accredited 4. Gandy Elementary School Fully Accredited 5. Harden Elementary School Fully Accredited 6. Moody Elementary School Fully Accredited 7. Taylor Elementary School Fully Accredited

Page 4 Mrs. Welch presented to the Board, Media and the Public that White Hall School District was AdvancedEd certified. Heath Bennett, Assistant Superintendent, presented the September 2015 financial statement to the Board. Craig Dupuy, Assistant Superintendent, updated the Board on the District Transportation and Maintenance departments and Mr. Dupuy updated the Board regarding a new program WHSD Driver of the Month winner each month will receive a gift card, citation. Dr. Smith updated the Board in regards to the upcoming Board Member training dates for State, Regional Conferences. Dr. Smith also presented the Board a letter from Americans United to for the Separation of the Church and State requesting that we no longer have a school directed invocation at school functions, i.e.: graduation, ballgames, etc.. Mr. Agee moved and Mrs. Medsker seconded to adjourn to executive session for the discussion of employee resignation, employment and transfers. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Ray moved and Mr. Agee seconded to approve personnel items as presented: Approve the Resignation of Lori Kurz, GES SpEd Teacher effective October 31, 2015. Approve the Resignation of Jason Bolick, WHMS Math Teacher/Boys Soccer Coach/ resignation effective October 5, 2015. Approve the Resignation of April Jennings, WHHS Cafeteria Aide/Media Aide/ resignation effective September 25, 2015. Approve the Resignation of Gale Jones, District Level III Secretary/245 Day Contract resignation effective October 30, 2015. Approve the Resignation of Stan Warrick, District Bus Driver P.M. Route Only/ resignation effective. Offer employment to Travis Creekmore, District Bus Driver P.M. Route Only- effective, conditional pending results of criminal records and Child Maltreatment Central Registry Checks. Driver must obtain\maintain appropriate CDL w/passenger endorsements required to drive a school bus. Transfer Brenda Hollowell from WHMS Plato Lab Aide 185 day contract to WHHS Cafeteria/Media Aide 195 day contract transfer effective. 5 substitute teachers. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Ray moved and Mrs. Stacey seconded to adjourn meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
