1. Registering for the MOOC The follow section provides instructions on how to register for and enrol on the einvoicing MOOC 1.1 Setting up an Account The first step in getting access to the einvoicing MOOC is to set up an account on the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform. The following set of steps will guide you through this process: 1. Browse to the following URL: https://opencourses.itsligo.ie/login/signup.php. This brings you to the registration page for the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform. 2. Enter the required information as shown in Figure 1 and click on the Create My new account button Figure 1 - Registering for IT Sligo Free Online Courses 3

3. An email will be sent with some simple instructions to complete the registration process as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2 - Confirmation email The student should click on the link provided in the email to complete the registration process. This will complete the registration process by taking the student to the screen shown in Figure 3. Figure 3 - Account Confirmation 4

1.2 Enrolling Once the student has created an account on the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform they must enrol on their preferred course to access the course materials. The following steps will take the student through the enrolment process. 1. Once the student gets to the account confirmation screen shown in Figure 3, they should click on the green Courses button. 2. The student will be taken to a screen with a listing of the courses available on the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform as shown below in Figure 4. Figure 4 - IT Sligo Free Online Courses 3. The student should expand the MOOCs Free Online Courses menu by clicking on the arrow as highlighted in Figure 4 above. 4. The student should then click on the link to the einvoicing course as shown in Figure 5 to access the enrolment screen for this course. Click Here Figure 5 - Accessing einvoicing Enrolment 5. Scroll to the bottom of the enrolment page and insert the enrolment key in the box provided and click on the Enrol Me button as shown in Figure 6. The enrolment key for this course is: einvoice0419 5

2. Using the IT Sligo Free Online Courses Platform einvoicing MOOC Registering and Completing the Course The following section will provide the student with instructions on using the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform. 2. 1 Logging in The following set of instructions gives details on how to log in to the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform. 1. Browse to http://opencourses.itsligo.ie 2. Click on the Log In button in the top right corner of the screen 3. Enter the username and password as set up during the registration process and click on the Log In button as shown in Figure below Figure 8 - Log in Screen 4. This will log the student into the IT Sligo Free Online Courses platform. 7

2.2 Accessing the Course To access the course once they have logged in, the student should do the following: 1. Using the Navigation menu on the left side of the screen the student should click on the Dashboard link. Figure 9 - Navigation Menu 2. The student will be taken to a listing of the courses they are enrolled on. They should click on the einvoicing link to access the course. They will be taken directly to the einvoicing course page. 2.3 Navigating the Course Once on the einvoicing course page the student will be presented with a navigation menu which allows them to access the relevant sections of the course. As explained in the MOOC Introduction video, the course is divided into a Technical Section and a Financial section. The navigation menu (Figure 11) reflects this structure and allows the student to navigate to their relevant sections by click on relevant link in the menu. Figure 11 - Main Navigation Menu Each section of the course has also has it s own menu and the student can use this to access the relevant sections of the course. The Financial Section menu is shown in Figure 12 below. Figure 12 - Financial Section Menu Each section of the course has a link at the end which will take the student back to the relevant menu. 9

2.4 Watching the Course Videos Each of the content sections of the course has a video presentation which the student must watch. To start the video the student should click on the play button on in the middle of the video window as indicated in Figure 13 below. Click here to start the video Figure 13 - Course Videos. The video will open on the course page as shown in Figure 14. If the student wishes to use Full Screen Mode, they should click on the button in the bottom right of the video window as indicated. 3. Completing the Course In order to complete the course and get certified for either the Financial section or the Technical Section the student must take a multiple-choice quiz for that section. If the student wishes to be certified for both sections they must take both quizzes. The pass mark for certification is 70%. 3.1 Taking the Quizzes A student can take a quiz by clicking on the link in the relevant Assessment Section for either the Financial or Technical stream of the course. The link to the quiz for the financial section of the course is shown in Figure 15. Figure 15 - Link to MCQ for Financial Personnel To start the quiz the student should click on the Attempt Quiz Now button. The student will be presented with a screen with 10 questions similar to those shown in Figure 16 which they must answer. Once they have answered all the questions they should press the Finish Attempt button at the button of the page. Figure 16 - MCQ Quiz 11

The student will be presented with the following screen which gives them two options: Return to Attempt allows the student to return and make changes to their attempt Submit All and Finish Submit their attempt and get their grade Figure 17 - Quiz Submission Screen The student will then be presented with a screen showing their attempt, their grade and the questions they may have answered incorrectly. The incorrect questions will be indicated in red in the Quiz Navigation menu on the left of the screen and the student can navigate to these questions by click on that link in the navigation as shown in Figure 18. 3.2 Getting the Certificates In order to achieve certification for each of the sections of the einvoicing MOOC, the student must achieve a grade of 70% or greater in the MCQ for that section. The student can keep re-attempting the quiz until such time as they achieve the certification grade. The relevant certificate of accomplishment will appear in the assessment area for that section once the grade has been achieved as shown in Figure 19 Figure 19 - Assessment Section with Statement of Accomplishment You can download the certificate by clicking on the link when it becomes available.
